I visited the Bull and Heifer with 12 friends and my wife as part her 60th birthday celebration weekend. We had differing meals (pre-ordered) all well cooked and presented that seemed to satisfy the whole party. We were served by very friendly and attentive front of house staff. Nothing was to much trouble thank you.

Booked ion for Sunday lunch with 13 other friends and treated to the best 2 course lunch at a very reasonable £14.99 (Puddings not sampled but very tempting?) Both Lamb & Beef will all the trimmings all finished off with local ales and a good choice of wine. The staff were very friendly and could not do enough to ensure... More

We had drinks and meals over 2 days when we were staying near by. All the meals were good and reasonably priced. Staff were helpful and friendly. They all made us welcome. Will use again when we are that way again.

High quality food, with excellent presentation. Friendly bar staff and waitresses, oak beamed dining room with log fire added to the ambience. The upstairs toilet and wash room was very clean. Varied menu that catered for vegetarians and vegans, comfortable seating. Would highly recommend.

Booked table for 4 by phone and asked about 2 vegan meals. Call passed to Chef who informed me that he was happy to cater for vegan meals, requesting any preferences by the day before :) . Meals were excellent - ideal portions, well presented. Waitresses and bar staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. Oak beamed dining area had a... More

Went here for Sunday Lunch to celebrate my Mum's Birthday and we were very impressed indeed with the quantity and quality of the fare on offer. Everything was cooked to perfection and wonderfully tasty. Extra veg? No problem, no extra charge! Drinks very reasonably priced and we left feeling replete but not overly stuffed. The staff were wonderfully welcoming and... More

We live in Montgomery in Powys, which is not actually that far away from Bettws Cedewain. Having eaten here with my parents a few weeks ago to celebrate my birthday, we ate here again this evening and found that the food and the service were every bit as excellent. The menu offers a varied, extensive range of choices while the... More

Description
The Bull and Heifer is a small but vibrant little country pub in the heart of the village of Bettws Cedewain, near Newtown. It's a traditional black and white public house, with oodles of character and charm, where you are sure of a warm welcome, whenever you arrive. This family pub is a recent addition to the village, yet it's hard to believe that it hasn't been 'The local' for years...
