We have been to the bulland heifer for both Sunday lunch and on a Saturday evening. Food is wonderful, service outstanding, staff are friendly and welcoming. (Even though we are from the Midlands) 5stars all the way. Would definitely recommend and we will be back...More

The service was too friendly and annoying. Half the village had come to use the WiFi. The food was awful, straight from Tesco (not even finest range). 15/10 would never go again

We have eaten in many places in the U.K., and can honestly say that the service we received last week was second to none: both the girls who served us were friendly and engaging, and couldn't be faulted. We've been trying to find a suitable...More

Sadly bit disappointed. Service very slow, especially for what had been ordered and we were one of first people arriving. Burgers were very plain. Simply the meat and brioche bread. Nil else added. Could’ve been better

Arrived on a Sunday without booking and luckily managed to get squeezed in. Despite the raging thunderstorm and power cut Tirion, Meg and Sarah did a grand in making us feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Lovely food and drink. Very relaxed atmosphere....More

Traditional Welsh pub set in the heart of the county side. The food was well presented and the service time would suggest it was cooked to order (but not unreasonably long). The steak was cooked perfectly but tasted a bit charred from where it had...More

Read about this pub when looking for places to eat near Newton and Welshpool - so as it was a rainy day we decided to take a drive out. Lovely and cosy pub, staff very friendly and dogs allowed in the bar. It was a...More

The Bull and Heifer is a small but vibrant little country pub in the heart of the village of Bettws Cedewain, near Newtown. It's a traditional black and white public house, with oodles of character and charm, where you are sure of a warm welcome, whenever you arrive.
