We were really disappointed in this place. You'd think after being in business for over 30 years, they would be pretty good. But the food was quite mediocre. The fettuccine carbonara was bland and pretty much tasteless. The Sopa Azteca had a good broth, but way too little of it. There were also way to many corn chips and no... More

La Luna Mextli is a unique place in Tepoztlan, right on the main street, across from the market and Tepoz Nieves (ice cream)-- its all close in this village. They serve a type of food unusual here, good hearty meat and vegetables. One of the best steaks in town, not the usually Mexican paper thin cuts, but nice cuts of... More

Went to La Luna as the other restaurants we wished to visit were not open (low season, mid week). Restaurant has a bar area next to the street and restaurant seating around a central courtyard. Chose a table far from the loud music in the bar. Complimentary jicama and cucumber with lime juice, bread and butter. Ordered the tomato salad... More

Good Mexican food & drinks (the margaritas are remarkable) in a beautiful traditional home setting. Don't miss the mask collection in the bar!

Quite a pretty little place, too. Nice assortment of wall decorations and feels spacious, though it's not large. Does not look like a 'typical' Mexican restaurant - more blond furniture, for ex. Service was swift - many pizza (and calzone) choices. Prices moderate. Size choices go from generous-sized 'individual pizza' on up.

This restaurant is on the corner across from the mercado. It's been there for many years. The interior is like an old hacienda courtyard; vibrant colored walls with equally vibrant art work. The bar area has large screen TV, tables, and the walls are covered with masks. Awfully good margaritas.

This is our "must" for breakfast in tepoztlan... Place: very nicely decorated in a very good location, nothing more to say. Food: breakfasts are nice with quality ingredients (don't forget this is tepoztlan), good portions for a fair place. Staff: very friendly but just standard, a bit slow for me and they are not ready to come to your table... More
