We have enjoyed many good meals while visiting Holbox, but I must say my husband is a red meat lover and his quest for a delicious steak is never ending. Well we found it tonight!! We had walked past La Parilla de Juan several times in the past as it is easy to miss since it is a roof top... More

We tried this restaurant last night and ordered the mixed seafood platter for two - one of the two house specialties. We were brought fresh bread and sauces - chimi churro which was lovely and another which were were Arendt was "spicy". From past experience I have learned "spicy" really means dangerously hot so I jokingly but clearly told the... More

I think the thing you notice the most here is that the chef (Sebastian) really cares about your experience. And the owner is very kind and friendly. They seem like they really care about your experience. The fish I had was fantastic. Grilled grouper Tikin Xic style (Mayan style) was delicious. The Malbec was also good- everyone enjoyed their food... More

If you can do the stairs (3 flights up), it is definitely worth it! BEST steak ever (ribeye)! Lobster ravioli was great, too! We will be back!

Both the grilled seafood and steaks were excellent. The best octopus we have ever had. Cocktails were well made. The people were warm and friendly. Eat on the porch for a beautiful sunset. Our favorite in Holbox.

The restaurant promised fresh food, but after a couple of hours we started to feel really bad. It ended up with my girl getting really sick because of food poisoning. All thumbs down!!!

Once you make your way up the stairs you are in a lovely rooftop restaurant, with very friendly waiters and great food and very nice, laid back ambiance - a welcome change from the places on the main square which are often quite noisy. Wish I could have gone back for a second meal!

This amazing place had it all: terrific view, warm and welcoming ambiance, jovial service, great food. My guess is everyone else felt as we did: they were glad we had chosen La Parrilla de Juan, and they were going to attend to us in a way that proved it. Highly recommend it.

Service was friendly and good. I had the surf and turf (ribeye and lobster), and my husband had the flank steak (I think). Both were very tasty, and perfectly cooked to our requested temps. If you go in expecting a cut of meat similar to a US steak, you might be a little disappointed, but that's not the restaurant's fault.... More
