Not much to look at, a few plastic tables outside a tiny restaurant with even fewer tables. The bathroom is fairly dire and a very kind woman poured a pitcher of water over my hands so I could wash them. But the food was great. We had the pulpo al ajillo (octopus grilled with butter and garlic) and it was... More

Delicious! One of the best meals I had on the island. I'm sorry there's not time to return, because they do a dish with a passion fruit sauce/salsa that I saw at another table - the only resto on the island that offers this, I was told.

We kept passing this cute, unassuming corner restaurant on our walks to town from our rental house. We would note the advertised lobster empanadas special and comment that we needed to try them sometime before we left Holbox. On New Year's Day few restaurants were open and we found ourselves walking back home to eat after striking out in town.... More

My friend and I arrived on the island Tuesday night (27th) and were so excited for this trip. We had a couple of drinks in the center and tried to get a table at Viva Zapata but were so hungry that a 15min wait felt too long. We saw Miriam just a couple of feet away and the sign for... More

On one of our many walks around town we spotted Miriam's, a few small tables outside and a couple inside. My wife had the Nachos and being American I had to try the burger they have advertised. May I just say the burger was outstanding. As a plus it came with a cold beer. So good we stopped back during... More

Located in a neighborhood, sidewalk or indoor dining. We were the only people there. Garlic grilled shrimp (delicious) and grilled fresh fish filet (not sure what kind). Everything was fresh and service was good. Recommend

We ate their for lunch. We had a shrimp and fish ceviche. It was very good and unique flavor. The warm red salsa with homemade chips was a pleasant surprise. The green salsa was habenero and spicy hot but I liked it. My wife had a corvina fish with a creamy cilantro sauce that was very good.

Good guacamole and chips but the lobster empanadas couldn't be choked down. Also, located on a somewhat busy corner if you sit outside.

Best food we ate in Holbox. Miriam restaurant is the type of place where you truly know your food was prepared just for you, with the absolute freshest ingredients . Miriam is the cook and her husband is the waiter. The food is the best we had in Holbox. This restauarant is also well located - one block off of... More

My hubby and I enjoyed a peacful lunch at Miriam. The owner was accommodating and willing to please us. We had queso fundido for an appetizer and I had pork nachos. My hubby had pork tacos. Lunch was sufficient and inexpensive.
