We came here for the Christmas Eve buffet dinner in December 2022.They had a large buffet spread and the food was really delicious! The staffs were friendly and the service really good. Inside the restaurant was nicely decorated, and there was live music which added...to the atmosphere. But what I really want to comment on is that the chef did such an amazing job on preparing a special diet meal for my daughter who has multiple food allergies for her Christmas Eve dinner. She thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the mushroom soup and her chicken dinner. The chef even came out to ask us, "Is everything ok?" A place to visit if you have special diet needs as they can accommodate such requirements.More

I really love this place, I was celebrating my husband’s birthday, there’s ths one staff named NINI, shes so great! She even volunteered to do some decorations for our table, it is simple, but cute! Wth some seashells and all, the food was good, the...entertainer is a great singer tho,. I love his voice, really enjoy the vibes, with good food, scenic view and good voice ( my ear truely enjoy his singing) we even dance when he sang a catchy song and some of the visitors joined us as well, LOL! I wanna write more, but not everyone love novel (like me) haha, so yah, I’m rating ths place like 100/10, NINI’s assistance throughout the evening is the best! Thankyou Sigi, definitely will visit again in shaa Allah 🤍🤍More

How wonderful it was to dine at Sigi's Bar & Grill. Large serving, great flavour. It was among the greatest lamb racks I've ever had. Of course, we shouldn't forget how fantastic Nini's service was! You can never go wrong eating here, therefore I will...definitely return. If you're a lamb rack kind of person, my personal recommendation is Lamb Rack.More

Place has simple menu but food is good. Service a bit sloppy. They served steak but didnt give steak knife. We had to go to counter and was given a knife without napkin, just knife itself.

Sigi’s at the Golden Sands Resort by Shangri-La is a great place to enjoy a leisurely lunch with friends. The restaurant adheres well to the SOPs for Covid-19. Although your temperature is taken initially in the hotel lobby, it is taken again at the entrance...to the restaurant where you either have to zap the QR or write your contact details before being allowed to enter. There were five of us in our party. Our table was tastefully decorated & our place settings were extremely well spaced. Sigi’s has recently introduced a choice of two 4 course lunch menus priced at RM55. Menu A consists of soup- tomato or wild mushroom, garden salad, spaghetti marinara, dessert - panna cotta or tiramisu & either a chilled juice or soft drink. Menu B consists of soup, bruschetta, chicken breast with French fries, dessert & drinks as for Menu A. I chose Menu B. The wild mushroom soup was hot & tasty with a swirl of cream. The bruschetta was excellent- slightly toasted bread with lashings of fresh tomato, garlic & basil. The crumb coated chicken breast was tender & moist & was served with a generous salad & a basket of crisp French fries. And the tiramisu, although alcohol free, was absolutely delicious. The standard & quality of the food was excellent & the portions were huge. No room for dinner at home that evening! Those of us who chose Menu A were equally impressed by the quality of the food. We were treated to a complimentary birthday cake (with candles) to belatedly celebrate our birthdays we’d missed due to Covid-19 restrictions. The service as usual, & as expected at a Shangri-La hotel, was impeccable & led by Ai Ai with much attention to detail. Highly professional & yet friendly. We all agreed that the lunch was really good value for money & the price very competitive. Sigi’s, with its new lunch time menu, is certainly a great place for local ladies who like to lunch.More

Sigi's has a great buffet in a great setting, just a few metres from the waterfront. Lots of local flavours are represented, including Malay, Chinese, Indian and even British! The staff are helpful and friendly.

We had our lunch and dinner during our 3 days stay here at Sigi's! That's just how much we love the food! The kids repeated their pizza for nth time whilst running by the beach. The foods were all delicious! You should try the char...kuew tiau, the beef with rice, the nasi lemak with chicken curry, and of course the pizza! Totally worth the money. And the price is not that expensive and still affordable.More

A visit to Sigi's in July was indeed a unique experience. Soothing "Wild Mushroom "soup, the taste of the sea "Seafood Aglio", Anatra Affumicat and the macho "Godfather Pizza" for the big appetite. Almost the best you can get. But...all hell almost broke loose when...the "Chocolate Lava Cake" presented was almost lava-less. When confronted, they insisted and pointed at the microscopic size of the "Lava" and reverted...there is your "Lava". It was still a meaningful evening, no intention to start a "Lava War".More

We were staying at the hotel so went here first night - we did not realise that there was a one for one promo going on (which we missed out on). The food reflected the offer - the grill food was ok - it comes...out from the kitchen and then is heated on the barbecue. Lamb was very nice. Desserts were awful as the milk and cream was melted - I drank the Pana Cotta and the Tirimasu was canned cream like Starbucks. In summary good value if there is a promo price - I would say up to 60MYR per head this is value but above that price the food quality needs to improve.More

I have been numerous times at Sigi's before MCO and I think it has one of the best location by the beach . Pizzas are quite acceptable but I must honestly say that i am not a big fan of the buffet. Anyhow, we mostly...go there for the quiet resort ambiance but in my recent experiences, there were families with noisy kids so if you want a quiet & romantic dinner, it is probably not the right place. Before MCO, service was generally attentive and very nice but I do not know what happened since they reopened. We went there recently and that was a disappointment . The all food & beverage experience starts when the client arrives and if you have an very slow reception, it can spoil your evening. Despite the fact that there were only a few guests, we had to wait a long time just to be taken care of. Fortunately there are plenty of other options so I will let Sigi's goes for sometimes and hope that at some point, a more customer centric management will return.More

Not much of choice for Steak really and because of that I won't call it a steak house. But they do offer and cooked the steak to perfection. Not to mentioned their lamb rack. It is really delicious and tender. I will visit them again...in future.More

My family and I enjoyed a memorable evening hosted by Dato' Welf and Datin Susan at Sigi's Bar & Grill at Golden Sands Resort Penang by Shangri-La. We chose an alfresco dining area near the beachfront of Batu Feringghi. The stunning vista of the beautifully...landscaped gardens and the ocean beyond was priceless. Sigi's has revisited its menu with the focus on classic Italian cuisine. Flashing on top of the menu was – "Let us tickle your taste buds". Sigi's did more than tickle our taste buds that evening. To start off our culinary adventure, my daughter, Jean and I shared the thick, creamy and comforting mushroom soup served in a rye bread bowl, drizzled with truffle oil. The freshly-baked bread was lovely and this was indeed a hearty way to start the evening. If we ate everything on the plate including the bread bowl (which we really did consider), there would have be no room left for anything else. For starters, we also had the classic Caesar salad and crispy Calamari Fritti (fried calamari). A good Caesar salad recipe gets its swagger from the rich dressing of raw egg yolks and anchovies. The yolks add richness to the emulsion while anchovies provide a briny, umami blast. Tossed with crispy romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes, beef bacon and olives, they whetted our appetites for what was to come next. The golden brown calamari bites were an excellent appetizer – crispy and savoury, served with a garlic aioli dip. More zing was add to the dish when Welf squeezed some lemon juice on it. The calamari fried in just the right amount of time made them tender and simply delicious. For the main course, Jean opted for Petto Di Pollo Alla Milanese. Two slices of chicken breast were pan-fried with a crispy layer of breading, topped with tomato slices and melted cheese. French fries and garden salad were served on the side. Jean enjoyed this dish very much. Welf and my wife, Yvonne selected something from the "griglia" (Italian for grill) – tender cuts of beef rib eye. The 250 gm cuts were served with a personal choice of dressing, greens and carbs. Welf also brought along a beautiful bottle of red wine to compliment the steaks. Next, the "Hawaiian", an oven-baked, thin-crusted pizza arrived with classic toppings of chicken, pineapple chunks, cherry tomatoes and mozzarella. The first pizza that arrived had a soggy base and was quickly replaced with a crispy one. I went for the seafood Aglio E Olio since this is an Italian joint and should serve great pasta. The spaghetti was sautéed with garlic and extra virgin olive oil, thus the name "aglio e olio" which means garlic and oil. I was very pleased with the dish. The al dente pasta was accompanied with a bounty from the ocean including prawns, calamari rings and mussels. A hit of spices gave it a fiery lashing which I loved. It was simply satisfying! For desserts, we ordered three offerings – Not Your Regular Tiramisu, Chocolate Lava Gâteau and Sigi’s Panna Cotta. The tiramisu and panna cotta were served in martini glasses. The desserts were all well plated and were a visual feast, as well as an indulgent treat. For coffee lovers, try the tiramisu although I would appreciate a heavier dusting of cocoa powder. The homemade gold fingers were brilliant. The chocolate gâteau was topped with a single scoop of vanilla ice cream, drizzled with cocoa sauce and decorated with a physalis fruit. The vanilla-flavoured panna cotta was served with a rich berry compote. The delectable desserts concluded a satisfying culinary journey. The perfect hosts, great company, good food and friendly staff made it an unforgettable evening. To boot, dining with the soothing sound of waves rolling onto the shore and swaying coconut palms dancing to the rhythm of cool sea breeze beckoned us to appreciate the alluring charm of the tropics. Thank you, Welf and Susan, for another memorable evening. "Spettacolare!"More

Expensive and below standard food quality. It’s mediocre pub food prices at fine dining standards. It’s kind of abusing its hotel guests as cash cow. Simply to pricy for what you get. Alcohol as well.

There aren't vegan choices on the menu, but you can choose to veganfied it... Their pizza and pasta are flexible. Just request what you want and don't want. They will work it out for you.
