Despite the COVID crunch, Ben & Amy's Livingroom Restaurant keeps on going providing excellent tasting food at reasonable prices and in a cool environment--often with live music. I'm not sure I've ever had a dish here that I didn't really like. More people need to...discover this gem as things begin to open up again.More

Ben and Amy run a really great restaurant--very popular with tourists. And there's a reason--they give attention to buying quality ingredients and producing some of the best beef rendang around. Also, their Thai-style and Kapitan-style fish dishes are to die for. A great place, near...all the action in Batu Feringghi.More

Delicious, fresh and fast, friendly service. Excellent - best ever vegetarian Laska with fresh herbs and veggies. Generous serving, made fresh and fast. Also large tasty G&Ts. People coming in and out 2 nights in a row. Very popular with locals and foreigners. Best of...the few restaurants there on the street. Enjoy!More

We are regular visitors to Penang and have eaten at Ben and Amys Living Room for quite a few years now. We love the food here and have never been disappointed. This year due to a lack of staff they were a bit stretched but...despite this still produced great food.More

No space at the front. The bar was busy. So we were seating in the back near kitchen and boxes . Pricing is excellent for the area. Food is cooked fresh. For our first visit we had nasa gerang and black bean with chicken. Simple...and tasty. Tiger beer by the bottle was a typical price for the area at 10 ringgits. Other beers are available. The living room is a popular place with brits who seem to revisit it regularly.More

Ate at this restaurant several times during our stay. The food is beautiful with lovely fresh ingredients. Loved the relaxed atmosphere and the ad hoc music - definitely not to be missed!

Living Room – Penang 2019/2020 The food is freshly made good quality and delicious. This is a friendly restaurant with a large selection on the menu. Both my husband and I do not eat much due to the heat so we generally had the bbq...ribs. They were always delicious, exchanged the chips for rice and had the dish between us. We ate here at least once a week during our 2 month stay at Park Royal and found it advisable to reserve as it can get very busy as it is so popular. If you have not eaten here it is to be recommended to try as you won’t regret it.More

I can also say very friendly. They can also cook something special if you just say what you want to omit. If you play the Guitar or can sing come on Friday for the jam session. If you still can't figure out what to eat... More
