Friendly, welcoming staff and delicious food. We had beef and ginger and fish curry. We had spring rolls to start. Enjoyed it so much we will return before we go back home.

We have visited Helena's many times and the food is fabulous. The staff are always extremely friendly and courtious and go out of their way to provide whatever you want. I have coeliac disease so eating out is always a pain but Helena has never...failed to provide me with a beautiful meal and understands about cross contamination. I have never had any problems after eating here. I particularly like the mutton curry (you will not get better) and the stir fried vegetables. My husband, who is not coeliac, has tried many things on the menu, his favourite is the mutton curry but has enjoyed everything he has had from the extensive menu. He also says the roti's are amazing. If you are ever in Penang, please visit Helena's Cafe, you will not be disappointed.More

We came here every day for a meal. The food was just delicious, the roti prata was crispy and fluffy, the satay was so tasty we had it every day, the ice blended mango tasted like pure fresh cold puréed sweet mango (again we ordered...it every day)! Everything we ate there was tasty and fresh. We tried lots of different dishes, including the sizzling squid, sizzling chicken, capitan chicken, etc. All were delicious, and the restaurant was clean with pretty plants at the front. Really enjoyable meal that all the family enjoyed. Starters of spring rolls, samosas and chicken skewers were very good - the Tom yum soup was best I ever had. Good value also

The best food in Batu Ferringhi ! Wish we had found it on day one but once we did find it we kept going back! It’s just so good ! From the Park royal it’s only about 200m toward Hard Rock on the main strip.... You won’t regret it.More

This spot is great for lunch and dinner as they are open for both. The staff were friendly and welcoming, as well as the service being good and the food coming out fast. The many times we went there the food was delicious ever time.

We tried several dishes and liked all of them: Our favorites were Roti, Tom Yam Soup (deserves its spicy label..) and Satay Sticks.

When we were last in Penang in 2019 we found this Kafe to be a great place to enjoy a home style meal. Its pleasing to know that despite the ravages of the COVID-19 pandemic that Helena's Cafe is just as good as our last...visit in 2019. Great service and great meals in a laid back setting made our visit worthwhile. All the dishes were really enjoyable and prepared with fresh ingredients.More

Best beef curry on Penang! I've been here many times and always ordering beef curry, and it's always perfect. Staff is very friendly too. This restaurant is definitely a local gem. Highly recommended!

Perfect find on just off Batu Ferengi beach. Friendly family, fresh authentic food and really well priced! We found this through recommendations on here and we were not disappointed!
