Excellent dining, excellent staff, excellent setting, obviously not cheap, one does not go there to save money, but for those special occasions be very difficult in Penang to find somewhere of the same standard.

My last stay in Shangri-La Rasa Sayang was in January 2019. So, after the almost two years of pandemic travel closure (covid 19), it was with a great pleasure I flew back to Penang and Shangri-La hotel in November 2022. During my almost 4 weeks...in the place I had dinner every evening in Ferringhi Grill. I was very glad to discover that the wonderful staff who worked in Ferringgi Grill before the pandemic was still here. I enjoyed every meal and I think I tried everything on the menu (and I enjoyed) in 26 dinners !More

As expected, we found that the quality...of the food, service & the friendly, welcoming & engaging members of staff have have been both maintained & retained. OK, but service quite slow and not a massive choice, breakfast here is an option for Rasa Wing residents, but the breakfast in the Spice Market has a far wider choice wth the option of sitting outside

We ate here twice during our stay. It is the best fine dining place in BF in our opinion. Well presented food and excellent service. Catherine is a super Restaurant Manager.

This was my 3rd visit to the restaurant to celebrate my son’s 9th birthday. My family and I had the obligatory tomato soup- I did not know it came with table side theatrics- my kids were delighted when the soup got flambé and the other...guests sitting around us had a good show as well. We ordered their wagyu ribeyes- the staff nicely offered us all the sauces available to try out:) had their escargots(fairly bland in its taste somehow) and mushrooms and asparagus for sides. The restaurant brought small sides for us to try during the course of the dinner- we were stuffed at the end especially after they threw in a complimentary cake for the birthday boy! Am delighted as well that the restaurant gave us a corner seat by the window which gave us amazing sunset views of ferringhi beach- it really offers for great photos! Special mention to safari and his team who attended to us during the dinner- excellent service throughout. We will certainly be back again!More
