I came here after reading the "terrible" review just to give a try for the food, since I'm a local penang. The food was ok, I'll rate 4 stars out of 5. I'm suprise a small restaurant's menu have almost 50+ choice of food for...you to choose. Price wise is reasonable, one sizzling black pepper beef set cost RM15 come with a rice and egg, and actually the portion is quite big for an adult. I'm suprise some other stated over price, You expect wayu beef steak with this price tag?? Location wise, you will miss this place if you didn't pay enough attention to the signboard, even some resident here don't know this place despite staying here for years. However it is a worthy place for dine in.More

The food was delicious, all Thai dishes were really good. The service also really good and the price was not expensive. I definetely come back to this restaurant next time in Penang.

Lots of the nyonya food in Melaka and Kuala Lumpur seem to be very sweet and mild spicy. Not Andrew kampung. Here you can get Malaysia Nyonya food with Thailand hot and spicy. The amount of chilli in Devil curry beef is mind blowing. I...am very near getting hiccups. Good quality cuts of beef. No chewvy fat and tendon. I think the chef is half Thai. She watched youtube in Thai after done cooking. It is a bit of fresh air of Malaysia Nyonya Cuisine. Tamarind Chicken was amazing. I could just have rice with gravy. Very thick sauce. Great place for lunch. Overlook the hotel. Not so great in the evenings with the noise of the crows and birds nearby. Daytime is much quiet.More

This place give you the warmth of being 'at home' the minute you walk in. It has the simplest of decors, but is very nice. Very honest people, we ordered a few dishes, and the guy that took our order told us to order one...size smaller as the portions are big. I honestly cannot recall the last time an owner of an establishment who suggested that. And the food was generously portioned, from the dishes to the coffee and even the dessert. As for the taste, it was nothing short of expectation. We enjoyed our dinner here and we would definitely return! Highly recommended!More

Had lunch at this lovely restaurant with my family (3 kids, aged 1-6). Everything on the menu looked fantastic, but we finally settled on lemon chicken (this was a super crowd pleaser), squid, fried rice and home made tofu and vegetables. The food was prepare...really quickly and smelt delicious. My girls enjoyed every single dish and told us that they wanted to come again. This is definitely worth another visit. Everything is was perfect - well cooked value for money food, excellent service and very family friendly. At the end of the meal my husband declared "we can never go back to eating hotel food again".More

Crispy duck was very tasty. I asked if she could make something vegetarian for me and she offered a few good dishes. The veggie masala was very tasty and packed with a variety of fresh veg. My boy adored the marmite chicken. His favourite meal...of the holiday. Husband had the Thai green chicken and said it was delicious. Icy cold beers. Reasonably priced. Some background music would have been great. We were there early in the evening and it was certainly lacking ambience. The great food made up for it though.More

Local food, cooked home style, fresh seafood & fish, black vinegar chicken was great. Nice service from Andrew & bro. Good value when you're in Ferringhi, certainly better than most.

This is a small restaurant located on the first floor of a building set back from the main road. The welcome is frankly outstanding and I use this work carefully. An excellent selection of food, very well cooked and presented, and served with a genuine...smile. Not expensive, BUT you MUST BOOK. This is a not to miss restaurant, and a super dinning experience. On one occasion the owner thought correctly we had over ordered and he told us so, he was correct. So they are not out to sting you.More

If you are in Batu Ferrangi then you have to eat at Andrews Kampung. Superb Malay and Chinese food and wonderful service for both Andrew and his staff. We had to use the take away service on our last night due to the government restrictions...on restaurants, but a quick service and the food was wonderful.More

I understand pork-free doesn't necessarily mean it's Halal. @Andrew - can you please confirm if the food is suitable for Muslims?
