Not sure why it's referred to as El Greco...maybe a change in establishment. It is called 'Taverna Pelagos' now, right on Paleochori beach, making for a beautiful setting. The food is okay, but nothing special. We also found it quite pricey, paying 70 Euro for 2 people. We sent back the calamari because it was over fried. The owner told... More

Food excellent Italian and the blackboard menu with dish of the day may contain items prepared beforehand, Try and get something they have to prepare to order. Being a tiny place and if you dine on a chilly night be careful when the extractors in the kitchen are turned on as the seating area temperature takes a dive an the... More

One might ask "Why Italian food in Greece?" Answer: After three weeks of excellent Greek food, the change to Italian sounded interesting, especially on this tiny Greek Isle. My wife and I were blown away by the quality of the food at this establishment. My wife ordered the boccatini with a red wine tomato sauce, I ordered a penne in... More

the food was really great. It was actually the best restaurant in milos Everything in the menu was extraordinary, and the prices were very low considering how great everything was. It is a really cosy restaurant, and once you step into it, you instantly go to a magical world where everything feels and tastes like Italy. The pizzas where great... More

Very quiet when we went. Far too much food and fairly bland. OK if you are happy to eat with all of owner's hangers-on sitting smoking at bar and him doing same outside. Surprised Italians have rated it highly.

My boyfriend and I have stayed on Milos island for 8 days in the late summer of 2010. 7 out of 8 evenings we had our dinner at El Greco restaurant! The best italian food ever! Great and friendly staff! Amazing ambience! This place was unforgettable part of our wonderful experience on Milos island and is definitely worth a try!

When you find a very special place it's hard to put into words exactly how you feel and the experience you had while dining. Where to start, the food or the people and atmosphere. Michael and Roberto were absolutely amazing and kind. The food was absolutely fabulous, the Mushroom Risotto was the best I've ever had (and my wife is... More

I stumbled upon the 2 previous reviews when researching places to try on a forthcoming holiday to Milos. I was quite taken by the impressive ratings and comments posted and saved the name as a definate establishment at which to eat. This was my first mistake. My second mistake was remembering the positive reviews on passing by El Greco and... More

This is a small Italian restaurant with outstanding food and service. It manages to combine the atmosphere of cosy Italian with chic and stylish. It only seats abot 20 people. The food is sublime. The chef, Charis has has been professionally trained in Athens but comes from Milos. The owner Michael is an outstanding and generous host, They serve mainly... More
