We came across this on a walk around Harderwijk and are so glad we did. The uitsmijter was pronounced once of the best he´d had by my husband. The mushrooms on toast (doesn´t do it justice!) were really tasty and even the coffees were really well presented. We would love to come back and try an evening meal.

This is a fantastic restaurant!!!
Great service food to die for. We visited Sunday and had a gorgeous meal, we have then come back today. What can I say food freshly cooked, service impeccable thank you.

An unexpected and delightful find! Wonderful service and good food with a lovely light cod dish and a surprisingly good veggie surprise dish. Cozy terrace and romantic interior and nice atmosphere located on a beautiful square all at a reasonable price.

The restaurant is located in the most beautiful place in Harderwijk, the old fish market feels cosy and out of a children’s book. The place is trying really hard to be posh, but just isn’t, I do not like to be confronted with the mood of the owner. For the omnivores the food was fine, 2 of the 5 dishes were very tasteful, the rest just alright, the vegetarian option was a bit poor:

Located on the central square of this peaceful town, in a old building
With a nice internal design, we had a table by the side and resturant was quite full. Started of with a mix of cold cuts of smoked salmon, salmon tartar, makarel, eel and dutch shrimps, very big starter and well made. Then a big piece of cod baked in oven in a nice sauce for the main, which comes with a interesting sweet apple sauce on the side, vegetables and fries.
Ended with a mix of different strawberries desserts.
Had a good south african white wine with the fish.
Starters cost from 10 to 14 euro, main was 22 euro and dessert about 8 euro.
Friendly service, all in all a great dinner.

With over 50 men we celebrated our golden wedding party at the Bistro on Tuesday 18 June. It was in a word: FANTASTIC!

Very nice place at the fish market. Very good staff, and great food. We ate outside because it was finally possible in terms of weather and when it got cold, there was a blanket available.
