I was looking for a place to have lunch whilst in the area and have to say that I struck gold with the Tom Cobley Tavern. Great pub with a warm welcome from Roger behind the bar and whilst busy wasn't overwhelmingly so. I sat at the bar and had a great sirloin steak with all the trimmings cooked exactly... More

There is limited parking in this lovely little village, the venue is fantastic with a bar area and a more formal dining area. Great selection of real ales, some nice art work and lots of certificates for awards received. A very good selection of food including veggie and vegan options, there really is no reason not to go here, oh... More

I decided to visit on a Saturday lunchtime. There were lots of people dining and as I watched thier plates being delivered to thier tables I could see why this place is so popular, all reasonably priced and very genorous portions. As always there was a good selection of Real Ales, 9 today plus 20ish traditional ciders and perries.

If you want a really good pub and traditional pub food this place is a must. We had to book 3 weeks in advance for a Sunday lunch which was outstanding. Have been there are few times and it is the little village of Spreyton. Highly recommended.
