My wife, sister-in-law and myself stopped of here for lunch whilst we were out for the day sightseeing in the area. The restaurant/cafe was very pleasant and inviting. We had a light lunch of homemade soup and sandwich which was reasonably priced and very tasty. The mill itself was well worth a look round out of interest, we also purchased... More

Stopped off here on our way South, intending to eat at the Bridge Cafe, just down the road; sadly that was closed. Opted for beans on toast and scrambled eggs on toast - how hard can that be? I suppose the mumbled "get this up to Chef Gordon Ramsay" should have been a warning. Eggs: microwaved and unseasoned in the... More

We are sorry to hear of your dining experience at the store this is not our normal way of serving the produce and your comments have been passed onto the food services staff. It is good to hear that the counter staff dealt with your order in a proffessional manner. Re the issues with the toilets all comments have now... More

This is a little like an upmarket transport cafe. Coach bays take pole position in the car park setting the tone for the "blue rinsed" brigade of customers. There is the obligatory shop. Selling all sorts of Scottish fare. Whisky and blankets... On the food counter, the soup bowls were dirty. Displaying baked on food remnants. Lovely. After carefully selecting... More

So sorry to hear of your dissapointing visit to the store, the food services staff have been told about the bowls and cutlery and they should always ensure that they are all clean and free from marks when being returned to the servery. Re the panini we do use 100% chicken and the cheese is of a high standard and... More

We stopped off here to sample the whisky on offer. There was lots to try and if you can't find one that suits you then you're drinking it wrong!

The coffee and scones were fine and the adjacent Mill shop had a large range of Scottish goods for sale. The adjacent babbling brook is nice to stop beside and just listen for a while Peter Keam Australia

Intended to stop for coffee, but found that the cafe was closing soon. We quickly had a look around the connecting shop that sold Scottish trinkets, whisky and woolens. Made a few purchases and left.

During a recent trip to Scotland we stopped off at three of these Woollen Mills one in Spean Bridge, another in Kilmahog and we visited the one in Jedburgh twice. The reason for all these visits? - delicious lunches and wonderful gift shops selling such a good and varied range of presents and souvenirs all of which seemed to be... More

Use this café and the (well managed) toilets a lot when travelling in this area. Obviously better out of main tourist season, but staff always work hard and are pleasant. Great scones and bacon butties, nice coffee. Reasonable prices for a tourist cafe. Not sure if handy or not to have the EWM in same complex as always end up... More
