Lençois doesn't offer that many good quality restaurants, but it does offer an exotic taste of rural backland food as a counterpoint to all pasta and pizza serving backpackers! The O Bode (the Goat) is a great example: simple setting, food by the pound, and atmosphere. They displayed buffet cover sun dried meat, variety of beans, salad, beaf stews, and... More

Too bad it is only open for lunch, I would have returned a couple of times during my stay in Lencois. The food is very tasty and seemed to me very authentic. The atmosphere is nice and cosy, a little hidden from all the touristic restaurants with a nice view.

O Bode is a restaurant Serve service. You pay for what you take. It serves local food. It's a very good value for money. Fun to try.

This Kilo-Restaurant is perfect for having lunch. It's cheap and the food taste very good. They offer different salads, fruits and different kind of meet and hot dishes. It was 36R$ /kilo. It is located behind a house. It's only opened for lunch.

After long hike, a lunch buffet was perfect. They have a huge selection - some meats, veggies, rice, etcs. You stack your plate with food, it gets weighed, then they write on a piece of paper the cost of that plate. You can go back to get another plate, that gets weighed again and added onto your paper. You pay... More

The food here is not only good, but it is served with a lot of attention to keeping it at the proper temperatures. The atmosphere is also nice, kind of an indoor/outdoor patio. As other reviewers have mentioned, it's only open for lunch. Tip: there are so many dishes here, it's best to have a walk around the serving island... More

Good options of typical food for a good price. Unfortunately it opens only for lunch. Make sure you go earlier or you might not find all the options.

We were recommended to go to this place before we faced the 8+ hour bus trip to Salvador. Glad we went there (the bus trip took 12hrs) .... This small and popular restaurant is located in the main town square. The food is served by the "kilo system" which means you can have as much food as you wish and... More

Recommended to us by the owner of our pousada and it did not disappoint! We went for he lunch time buffet and despite arriving after 3pm it still had a wide range of dishes available. Priced very reasonably at 33 reiais per kilo, my partner and I sampled most of the dishes and none disappointed. The staff were very friendly... More

Ate there yesterday after a long time....it has really got better. Really nice prepared brazilian food, lots of choices (also vegetarian). Friendly service. This restaurant is where almost everybody who don't feel like cooking goes for lunch. Local guides as well. Ate a beautiful plate for only 7 reais. Choose table at the back of the restaurant so you also... More
