Enjoyed our meal. It's a small cafe and can get busy, so not the best for a private conversation. Casual dinner, with a variety of asian food, both Vietnamese and Chine cuisine, with a great specials board with interesting dishes including Eggplant Stuffed prawns with sweet chili. Great wine prices - under $20 for some whites.

Peking Duck Rolled Pancakes. Hmmmmmmm. Couldn't finish the pork buns but they were delicious as well. Just had entree size but huge serves. Great on a warm night with the shopfront windows open to the trees opposite. Excellent staff too.

This Restrurant is based on busy Victoria street . Having been to quan 88 in St Kilda (which is is excellent ) Whilst I was passing through Richmond I decided to give it a go for lunch . This Restrurant is typical of a real Asian Restrurant in Asia for Asians without the European flair . The decor is old... More

Our second visit to this unpretentious clean and authentic Vietnamese Restaurant. Walked in with a bottle of wine and the expectation of a quick tasty lunch. Prawn spring rolls and prawn dumplings for entree. Squid with lemongrass and chilli and steamed rice. All cooked perfectly and served in good time. Under $40 for a great lunch. Can't fault this place.... More

This place NEVER disappoints.......It doesn't profess to be 5 star dining, it is non-pretentious and offers Great, clean, fresh Vietnamese food. The menu is extensive and gets really difficult to choose sometimes but I do have my favourites in "Rice Paper Rolls" and the "Rice Noodle Combination Soup"... The "coleslaw" is a great change particularly in Summer... There really is... More

This is more Chinese fare than Vietnamese. It is cold on a cold day also. Very noisy when a few big tables are there. Have to ask for tea that is usually on table already in Vietnamese cafes. Food is cooked more Chinese style. Not as spicy as wanted. Over all there are so many better in this street.

We have been eating at Quan 88 for over 15 years. We were recommended this place from friends who have eaten here for the past 25 years!!! Arriving in Victoria St and making a decision of where to eat (for the first timer) may be a tad daunting! There are so many choices and most are quite reasonable. But every... More

Last night we went to Quan88 for dinner and had nice meal but when the bill came we found out that they overcharged us. The reason it was disappointing was because this has happened before. The first time it happened we thought it was just a genuine mistake but it seems they do this all the time to get extra... More

Quan88 has the goods and talent to bring the flavours and smells of Vietnam directly to you. Their quick authentic presentations are the best on this end of Victoria Street. This means a lot since there is a LOT of competition along the street. We'll definitely be going back for more.
