We were staying in Porthleven for family reasons, and looked out for establishments to eat out at during our stay. Amelie’s catches the eye, in the old lifeboat house but with a modern decor. The service was good, the food very good and the outlook...More

Fab seafood, my fish was flakey and so fresh and my daughter thought the pizza was yummy but could only manage half. They happily boxed up the remaining half for a take out. Great harbour side views and family friendly.

Excellent position right on the waterfront especially if you are lucky enough to get a window seat in the conservatory part. Great food although some dishes had run out which on a busy week end night would be understandable but not a Weds? That said...More

Passed by and was tempted by the menu. Lovely fresh cooked food, great little menu choice for children. My daughter had mini mussels and my son mini fish bites with fries. We ordered the burger which was cooked perfectly. The tapas looked lovely but we...More

The dinner we had was really nice. A lot of the food and drinks were not available on the night which was surprising for a Monday night. (No sea bass, 2 Porthleven beers out of stock) it would have been nice to be told when...More

We turned up without a reservation on a Saturday night and were seated straight away, although the restaurant was full when we left so probably best to book ahead. The food was excellent, and the service was attentive without being overly so. The prices were...More

We visited for Sunday lunch. It was a very relaxed atmosphere and there was a quirky jazz band playing live who were very good. It was just the two of us and we'd both been saying before our visit that we probably wouldn't have beef...More

Visiting here for the first time and booked this restaurant for our first dinner. Warmly welcomed on arrival but given a table near the door which was cold. They quickly locked to offending door and all was well. A first course of whitebait for me...More

Our visits here over the past 3 years have always been good. The meal we enjoyed this time was the best yet (hake) and was a real pleasure at a reasonable price. We chose to eat in the annexe overlooking the harbour. Service was as...More

The freshest ingredients sourced from the best local suppliers. A relaxed, waterside atmosphere where you can sit back and relax. Service that's memorable for all the right reasons. At Amelies, Porthleven and sister company Gourmet Picnics we share the same ethos which runs through everything we do. Come and experience it for yourself. Please note in the winter season we do close on a Monday day and Tuesday day, re-opening Tuesday evening.
