We visit porthleven at least twice a year, but have never eaten here until now. We booked for a Wednesday evening and was greeted by a friendly young lady who seated us, bought us the menus and got us our drinks, as well as table water, we had a lovely bottle of ice cold white wine. We duly ordered and... More

The food was amazing, I had the best time. The service was great and there was nothing wrong with the experience. To start I had scallops, main squid and for my desert I had a chocolate brownie! They were all extremely delicious. Defiantly recommend going.

Very friendly place to eat that cooked our seafood to perfection. I would put the seafood linguine up there with one of the best pasta dishes I have tasked in the UK. Only issue was it was pretty empty and the manage to sale out of both the starter and main that was my first choices. They made up for... More

Visited amelies for their last Sunday roast of the summer season. Hubby had soup to start, parsnip and Red pepper....he has soup at nearly every restaurant we go to and he said it was the best he'd ever had. I was jealous because, although my tiger prawn starter was very tasty, his topped it! Then on to the roast.... Chicken,... More

We had a fantastic Sunday lunch here and even though it was towards to end of the holiday season it was still pretty busy. The food was well cooked and tasty and the dessert was also very good this time. Great service and a nice atmosphere with some live music, thoroughly recommended.

Was taken to Amelie's for Sunday lunch when visiting my daughter and family in Helston. It was wonderfully relaxed & informal, overlooking the harbour, with a tinkling piano/cello duo playing in the corner & the staff happily accommodated my granddaughter's pram at our table. The staff were friendly & helpful, making a big fuss of my daughter's 4 month old... More

After reading the reviews we booked here for Sunday lunch and is was excellent. The service was terrific but not over the top and the atmosphere was great. Our only dissapointment was that it was closing that day for a month for refurbishment; we would like to have gone back in the week for dinner

We had wonderful time and wonderful dinner! The owner is the best host you could ever imagine and the staff is very friendly too. The fish was incredible fresh and kids loves pizzas made in an original Sicilian wood-fire oven. Definitively, Amelíes worths a visit !
