Sadly this place has lost its way, staff were rude and stuck up - unless you're spending hundreds in the shop they do not want to help. Will not be visiting again.

Each time we are in Leyburn we try to have lunch at Serendipity. The staff are very friendly and efficient and the food is lovely, although when we visited there was no soup left. The shop below is well worth a browse - we found some lovely things to buy..

Service can be a bit slow, at times, but the staff are friendly and the food is always worth waiting for.

We always visit this tea room / coffee shop/ lunches etc on our visits to the Dales. I had a tasty gruyere and red onion relish toasted sandwich. My daughter had a proper baked potato with beans and cheese and was asked if she would like the cheese melted. She also had a hot white chocolate drink with shafts of... More

Stopped off on Sunday afternoon, had soup and coffee. Soup was lovely and good coffee. A nice place to drop by with some lovely items for sale in the shop.

The cafe is in the shop, which sells a huge variety of gift and and unusual presents. Our friend who lives in Yorkshire visits the tea shop regularly and it is easy to see why. It is delightful, and the staff very friendly. We had lunch here before catching our train home to London. It was very tasty and we... More

Always a great stop for lunch or afternoon tea. Just called in for a lovely cup of tea and fruit cake with Wensleydale cheese. Delightful. Always unusual flavoured soups to try. Pleasant surroundings, lovely staff and a great gift shop to browse.

We had a day out in Leyburn and called here for a lunchtime snack. All sorts of interesting items on the menu, we didn't know what to try. Ended up with spiced parsnip and pear soup lovely chunky brown bread. Palma ham sandwich, smoked salmon cream cheese sandwich, and an eye popping peach Bakewell tart. Prompt friendly service even though... More

Everytime we go over to Leyburn, we seem to start or finish at Serendipity! The coffee is nice, the service friendly, and the scones are tasty.

Have been here many times and always enjoyed it but called today and I had a scone which was one of the worst scones that I have ever had and not the cheapest so very disappointing.
