Out for a drive one night, spotted this pub and called in for drinks on a Saturday night. Lovely olde fashioned pub. Had a look at the menu which looked tasty, looking to visit for a meal soon.

We dined on Easter Monday lunch after a lovely walk round Digley reservoir. Good selection of ales I had Banks. My daughter had whale (fish) chips peas. I had sausage baguette with a lovely salad . Pie was good but a tad pricy at over £10. 2 baguettes 1 fish 1 pie plus 2 pints 2 soft drinks £50. Quality... More

Called at the Fleece again last week for supper and found they now have a pantry section, selling all sorts of eatable goodies. Easter Saturday came round and I took my wife and a friend to sample the goods. This is the first time I have ever made a booking for Breakfast. On the way in we passed through the Pantry... More

Met some good friends here and all of us haven't been here for a while. Got to say that the food and service was top notch - my crab fishcakes to start and bacon chops for main were delicious - the only problem was we were all too full to even attempt a pudding and they looked great!

What we didn't expect was how really good a choice this would turn out to be. Not only did we get a great choice menu with... More

Regularly dined here with my parter and his parents over the last few years. This month was my mum's birthday so decided to book a table for 6 people. Service was really poor. Advised we'd need to get our own drinks from bar when usually table service has been given on all my previous visits. We were not given enough... More

My wife and I walked from Holmfirth up to Brownhill Resevoir and came upon The Fleece. Initially we visited the small shop attached to the pub for hot tea for which were very grateful! We liked the look of the pub so when we got back from our walk we drove up to see if we could get lunch. On... More
