Visiting deeside from Edinburgh and looking for a good local restaurant. Have eaten in some lovely starred restaurants in Glasgow/Edinburgh and our meal at kildrummy wouldn't have been out of place there. Definitely worth a visit.

We drive many a mile on a Sunday to find an excellent lunch and over the years have passed this establishment numerous times with the statement/discussion sometime we need to stop there and see about lunch.. Well today was the day and what a super experience it turned out to be. We arrived without reservation and were greeted cordially by... More

Having been asked if I wanted to go with my Partner and her Godmother to this hidden gem, I was a little spectacle. However, you arrive at this wonderful Inn in the middle of nowhere that has décor in keeping with its setting. The welcome is just what you want after a long journey of 8 hours, the offer of... I've come to know the two loons that own this place and their lovely wives and families over the last few years. I've even brought my wonderful wife up to the Kildrummy to sample the divine food that David and his fantastic team create, and it is creation. He is as skilled at producing flavors and tastes as any of... More

Masterchef of Great Britain, David Littlewood and his Sous Chef Alex, are real masters of the kitchen! The food is from Scotland's finest larder, brilliantly placed to source the finest ingredients. David puts together daily an amazing menu, the finesse and presentation of each course is a real experience. It's crazy how they do this all for £35 for 3... More

From the minute we stepped into Kildrummy Inn, I knew it was going to be a great experience. The whole ambience with the fire and tartan carpets etc just had a lovely homely and welcoming feel. Nothing disappointed. Staff were attentive and friendly without ever being intrusive. Every mouthful of food was delicious and the presentation was excellent. Impressive!! This... More

Lovely cosy inn. The food was excellent, the welcome very warm. Nice room too. Great to see so much local food and drink being put to use. It was the small foodie touches that really made this place: the excellent intermediary course soup, the fudge, the breads, the home made preserves. Nigel also could not have been a better host.... We'd booked to stay overnight and it was our first outing to the Kildrummy Inn. I had a heightened level of expectation, but I didn't think it would be this good! Nigel and Helen head up front-of-house while David and Alex produce the most amazing food! The inn has an unpretentious air about it from the outside, even the front... More

We stayed here for one night and had dinner in the restaurant. The Inn is typically decorated in tartan, pictures of stags, deers etc adorn the walls in the bar area, restaurant and the stairs leading to the accomadation . The bar lounge is fitted with lovely old suites with comfy cushions with a fireplace, old antiques and collectables decorate... More
