Wow what a find! Wonderful 'surf' or 'turf' menu. Good range of sweets and starters. Simple food, beautifully presented, excellent service and friendly knowledgeable chef. Worth going out of your way to visit. Price commensurate with good city restaurant prices, but totally worth it in...More

We had an excellent meal here the other night, so why am I only awarding four out of the five stars this restaurant deserves to get? The chef patron was friendly and helpful and the waiting staff very professional while retaining the friendly touch which...More

This is a lovely place to visit - the food worth going out of your way for. I would recommend booking to avoid disappointment. The food is of a very high quality and the ingredients locally sourced; you pay a bit extra for this but...More

I was boring and went for the haddock and chips. Easily the best fish and chips I have ever had. Excellent.

We visited as part of our NC500 tour after reading the reviews on tripadvisor, we were not disappointed. The place appears to be run by the chef with two young assistants working front of house, however he can keep an eye on the whole place...More

We called ahead as our B&B host often had guests being turned away due to the popularity of the Bistro. The restaurant is very unassuming with large chalkboards, simple wooden tables, one member of waitstaff and Stephen the owner/chef in the small open kitchen. We...More

the establishment with the black Labradors is Lochcarron Hotel which is lovely and also serves food. the Bistro is not an appropriate setting for a dog. We have one and he stopped in the car whilst we ate.
