Really delicious food, well presented with a more than adequate wine list. When you consider that you are in the wilds of the West of Scotland and that there is one man in the kitchen with a couple of youngsters waiting tables, it is really remarkable. Be sure to book ahead, he was turning away lots of hungry people the... More

We've just enjoyed a wonderful meal at the Lochcarron Bistro. My wife loved her posh fish and chips, battered salmon steak and delicious smoked salmon, langoustine and chips. I loved my smoked haddock with a cheese sauce, dauphinoise pototoes and fresh vegetables and my mum in law had a great pork loin, mushroom and black pudding dish. The food was... More

My wife and I had a lovely meal at The Lochcarron Bistro. I had steak, which was cooked to perfection and my wife had pork which was equally as tasty. We had sticky toffe pudding and lemon tart for desert which were also very nice. The only down side about this place is, it only opens between 5pm to 8pm,... More

Just had the best meal of our 6 night NC500 tour. We really did leave the best to last! Fresh fish and seafood - excellent venison steak and delicious desserts. 3 courses for 2 plus wine and soft drinks for less than £70. Wish I lived nearer so much that I still wanted to try on the menu

Enjoyed 2 meals in the Bistro which were both excellent - the fish was lovely and was very fresh and we were unable to eat it all due to the quantity. Nice wine as well!

We had a lovely meal here on the last night of our trip. It's a small restaurant but with a good selection of food on the menu. The smoked mussels in the seafood combo were the highlight for me and the chocolate box for dessert was just the right size and not too filling. I would highly recommend visiting.

Its definitely worth stopping here and sampling the local produce on offer. We didn't book but were there just after they opened so there was plenty of space at that time. It doesn't have many tables though and they filled up quickly while we were eating so it might be worth ringing ahead. The food was beautifully presented and tasted... More

For excellent food this beats many places in the local area. The chef will accommodate a particular diet if at all possible. this small restaurant provides a good variety of meals including locally caught seafood. make sure to telephone a booking and check times as there seasonal variations . Super atmosphere and the staff could not be more friendly and helpful

You could easily just drive straight past this place but that would be a big mistake. We were receommended this bistro by our B&B and we were not disappointed! The menu was written up on a huge blackboard on the wall, and we coud have eaten pretty much anything that was there, it all looked so good! Our meal was... More
