This place serves classic Italian pastas and dishes. The food is nicely done and without pretension. Service is friendly. We like this place better than Romeo's (a bit further down the road).

We have been dining at Topos for many years now and are never disappointed. Even if we haven't been there for a couple of years, the family remembers exactly what our favorite dishes are and how we like them served. Always good service and excellent food. Long may they keep going.

Topo Gigios has been owed by the same family for over 30 years and is still run by the family, which created the most amazing atmosphere. Every time you eat you feel like you are back in you grandma's kitchen with an extremely large extended family. The food is always incredible and the Oysters are the best I have had... More

Wow. What a lovely surprise this is. A genuine family enterprise where everyone just works together really well. The food was delicious and generous and the wines chosen were great. Beautiful home made gnocchi, give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

I returned after an interval of 3 or 4 months. There'd been no change in the menu. I had the same main course dish as I'd had on my previous visit, while my companion simply had crepes. Both dishes are OK, service was friendly, and our fellow diners were either very quiet or (late in the evening) jovial.

In early 2016 there was a hiccup in Topo Gigio's continuity of service. The family who'd been running the restaurant for 37 years put it on the market. However they then had a change of mind, with the result being that Topo Gigio goes on just as it always did -- to the satisfaction of its regulars, most of whom... More

This is a friendly local Italian restaurant located in the ever popular Toorak Road just outside central Melbourne. Easy parking on the street. Lots of choice on the menu; we chose lasagne and cannelloni with tiramisu for dessert. The cannelloni was the best I've ever had, well filled and very tasty and the lasagne was reported as delicious by another... More
