The restaurant is more formal than most English restaurants, but it was still relaxed. The team were professional, pleasant, interested and explained our menu choices mostly in English. The sommelier was superb in his expert knowledge and directed us to local wines of reasonable price, which we would never have chose on our own. A delightful experience. As we were staying... More

Everything.. the dishes, the vin jaune, the service. All were impeccable. Mostly recommended, only reserve in time.

The Les Caudalies dining room offers a small but well-executed menu, a tempting wine list, and very competent service, all at a reasonable price. Our main courses included a delicious rendering of the classic Jura chicken with morilles in Vin Jaune, and a beautifully cooked fish of the day (Daurade in a subtle sauce), both of which mated well with... Sometimes you hope for a good meal and only occasionally you get it especially in a small town. But this is rural France where they proudly make an excellent cheese, Comte, and unique wine, Vin de Jura to famous yellow wine. At Restaurant les Caudalies a family run establishment, there's a freidnly welcome, a house aperitif of Cremant du Jura... More

The set menu was enjoyable and good value. Service was attentive without being intrusive. The ambience was pleasant. I'd agree with a previous reviewer that the main courses would have benefited from being served hotter, but it was a pleasant and memorable meal.

A very enjoyable meal in charming surroundings with very attentive and helpful staff, and at a reasonable price. This is classic French cooking and they do it well, although our main courses were perhaps slightly uninteresting and not quite hot enough. The service was fine - measured, not slow as others have reported. This is a "serious" restaurant and a... More

We stayed at the hotel for two nights, and ate at the restaurant on our second night, what a delightful experience this was. We had the set menu for £39.50, this is a four course meal, with little added extras between courses. All the courses were of a excellent standard and this was one of the tastiest meals we had... Food is excellent. Well served and service is very attentive. Dining room decor a little dull. But building is lovely. Just opposite the house of Louis Pasteur.
