We had an amazing cappuccino with homemade cookies, from grandma. Delicious!! Very good prices. It is a perfect stop on the way to capo grillo or the most southern point gelso.

If you rent a quad and want to explore the wild side of the island you must stop by at this picturesque little place. Mrs Tindara, an elderly nice lady owns the place with husband and son. Excellent cappucino and self made cookies with jam and chocolate filling. Yummy. Amanda

Very good food and service, more variety than other restaurants at the harbour! Really worth a visit!

We were lucky in that we had access to the Kitchen and some cookery demonstrations and were then able to eat the results which were, of course, truly delicious. All the ingredients were seasonal from the market that morning and the fish were almost still breathing. I am not a keen fish eater but this fish was special and cooked... More

This is one of the few places on the island serving good meat dishes if you need a break from all the seafood. We very much enjoyed the grilled lamb and the chicken. They also had a very nice chocolate tarted for dessert. The restaurant offers a pick up service from the main city on the island, you should ask... More

We go to this restaurant every time we visit the island. It's a nice drive with a beautiful view to get there. They serve excellent food from the area and always have some dishes off the menu depending on the fresh produce of the day. They also try to include new and contemporary dishes. Everything is delicately full-flavoured. A place... More

Great place to have lunch if you are touring the island with your own vehicle as it is located in the center. We had grilled lamb and chicken (prepared in a special way with hot stones) which was very flavorful and tasty. The service was good, although be aware that everything is a la carte (e.g. the waiter said that... More

We visited Maria Tindara twice as part of a wine & cooking holiday in the Aeolian Islands, and had the delight of being taught how to cook authentic Sicilian food by the lovely Rosie (Maria Tindara's daughter-in-law), her son Gilberto and chef Antonio before lunching there twice. The food is excellent, and we even learned to make macaroni from scratch... More

It's a wonderful place, far from the most touristic center as necessary to spend a beautiful moment eating excellent food, especially fish. Very kind people.

We were lucky as we had a friend drive us but if you can find a day tour from Messina, it's well worth it. The cathedral or Sanctuary is beautiful, we were able to gain access to the original church at the back which has the famous view talked about in the story of Tindari. Only negative are all the...
