Maurizio is the perfect host...his home made recipes are delicious...his company is entertaining. A visit is highly recommended. What more is there to say ? We will return.

This was intended as a light lunch - fuel for ascending the volcano! Noting Lonely Planet's advice that Maurizio had embraced Indian cuisine, I opted for a dish of turmeric rice with vegetables. But while that was being prepared, home-made bread appeared, then savoury nibbles, then a dish of barley and beans - all unbidden! And once the excellent curried... More

We ordered the full menu: Antipasti, Primi and Secondi. As a group of 6 adults and 4 kids, we have been served fast and absolutely friendly. The kids got whatever they have wanted, the wine was incuded in the very fair price (30€) and the portions were generous. The athmosphere and Maurizio itself were very friendly- go there if you... This goes down as one of the best meals I have ever had in the most delightful atmosphere I have ever been in. We ordered antipasti, secondi, and a primi plus a carafe of wine which we normally would not do because it seems almost impossible to consume in one sitting, but the options looked so delicious. But in addition,... More

This is a gem of a place and the owner insists on taking your order personally. He speaks umpteen languages and is constantly happy. The food is excellent and nothing is too much bother. It is also cheap by Italian standards with a starter, main course of fish and a litre of house wine coming in under 35 Euros. If... More

After a hike up the Crater, we had a great lunch at Maurizio's. Great food, very nice italian ambiance and very friendly people. The nice little details (extra starters and almondwine with cookies on the house) made it a great experience!

Very popular place to eat, fully booked on the two occasions we visited - interesting menu with a North African twist to some dishes - thoroughly recommend

Maurizio is someone atypical, very nice, speaking many languages, smiling, running everywhere, but so kind! The menu is delicious and gives a nice overview of different dishes.

One of the best dinner experiences we had on the island. Food was very fresh and tasty, but the best was the atmosphere and Maurizio the owner who seems to be really passionate about the restaurants and welcomes all guests as if they were his friends.
