Fantastic food. The duck rugo is the best. Rabbit and duck dishes are very delicious. Is out of the way near Anghiari , but is worth going there

My family and I hired a farm house about 0.5km away from this place a couple of weeks ago. It ended up being our daily sanctuary. It is a beautiful rustic restaurant, with lovely charming staff in a fantastic setting. We went daily as the coffee was spectacular. It was also served with some of the most delicious croissants and... More

The place is ok inside but the location is poor, be careful not to be bumped into by a car passing on the nearby road:-) Foos can be ok if you are a tourist and know nothing about traditional tuscan dishes, but for locals I find it just average!!!

We walked in the Parco dei Monti Rognosi with friends visiting us from Belgium. It was a glorious Autumn day and the views and scenery were stunning. On returning to Tavernelle Manu, who speaks Italian asked if we could eat at the Osteria and Bepe advised us we could eat as little or as much as we wanted. Six of... More

The website says “from farm to fork” and I might add “with a lot of tender, loving care in between”. As most of the food is procured locally, the menu will also vary by season. When we visited, Porcini Mushrooms were abundant, so a pasta sauce featuring the mushrooms was on the menu and delicious. Our party of four also... More

I shouldn't eat pasta, but every now and then you come across a restaurant where it is so delicious it is worth the weight gain. This is such a place. Home made and utterly divine I had - on separate occasions - the ravioli with classic butter and sage, and another time tagliatelle with hare (the rabbit version). I was... More

great place with genuine home cooking. Set menu is very reasonably priced and excellent value. Has all the genuine tuscn treats and the pasta is homemade. Ravioli with butter and sage is the best around.

This is a delighful family run restaurant in a little village called Tavernelle just outside Anghiari, one of the loveliest Italian small towns perched on an amazing hill. Good food, friendly atmosphere, lots of parking space, and a nicely chosen menu.

The waiter was extremely kind and helpful in both English and Italian. He made excellent suggestions for food as i went there with an open mind to taste whatever was on the menu that day. The appetizers were varied and the best I'd tasted of each thing : pecorini in oil, pepper salami, mini omelette, sun-dried tomates, sausage, olives and roasted bread.... More

We love this place that is only 5 km from our Villa, Il Pozzeto. We send many guests to this Osteria, as we love the food and the prices are very reasonable. Do not expect a big menu. The cook will make two things that evening and you will have your choice of those two main dishes, as well as... More
