Had a very nice Valentines Day meal here. I had pork belly, which was cooked really well, really well presented, and was delicious. My partner had a chees soufle, which she loved, and a very good lasagne. The only reason it doesn't get five stars is that the food took a long time coming, particularly the day before when we... Called in here with Mrs M on the way back from Cardiff. It was a bit off the beaten track for us but was well worthwhile. We arrived at bit early with no reservation, but they got us a table and served a fantastic meal. The food that we both had was absolutely fantastic and Ihave paid far much more... More

This was our first visit and we found this pub on trip advisor. My husband had venison and cottage pie and I had park belly. Both were absolutely delicious. The food was beautifully presented and staff were very friendly. We will definitely come again.

This is a regular morning coffee stop for us after either walking or cycling in the area. We had morning coffee as usual but following a walk returned for a light lunch. A very tasty Welsh rarebit, a perfect pint, the daily papers and all with the woman you love - perfect!

An idyllic riverside location. An atmospheric 16th century building given a comfortable and welcoming modern makeover inside. Helpful and attentive staff (even when super busy). A nice-looking menu, and great reviews. So what was that terrible roast pork I had today? Granted, the menu said roast pork belly, so I was expecting quite fatty little slices or towers of meat... Great venue and warm welcome. Couple of drinks after a nice riverside walk then returned that evening for dinner. Good choice on menu and especially recommend the crab risotto. Wine list was decent and good value.

Very busy but we were fortunate to find a table inside. A good range of food Staff were honest and told us they were busy and meals would be 40 minutes. Hence we were not stressed about the wait it was our choice. Pleasantly surprised to be served more quickly. Food was very good The staff were pleasant and helpful... More

Just back from a weekend away, we stayed in the upper boathouse, it is beautiful like a penthouse flat, stunning views of the river, lovely balcony and you can sit in bed drinking your morning coffee taking in the views. Food and service were exceptional, all food is cooked fresh, nothing was too much trouble for the owner and his... More
