The owner works very hard & was very friendly! He spoke spoke virtually no English which was challenging since we speak very little Spanish but I consider that our issue, not his. The sushi selection wasn't that great as they only had salmon, tuna & Marlin that day, but it was decent for where we were. The tea was easily... More

We had dinner here one night when we wanted something light to eat. Had the Miso soup, which was very tasty, as well as some sushi and sashimi. It was all made right there. The fresh drinks (jamaica tea, lemonade with mint) were very good. Service was good. The only down part was that the floor was being mopped with... More

We were the only ones in the restaurant this night, so the fact that only one guy was working there, taking orders and making the food - worked out okay, but I can imagine it can be a problem with more people. The sushi was good. Not amazing but quite okay. A little on the pricy side.

We enjoyed our lunch, a bit pricey. needs a happy hour with sushi pricing to get more business. Very polite. Happy hour would really help and keep it simple. Tidy pleasant place needs some boost of energy:)

Expensive place with a well read menu but unfortunately the food does not come up to standard. The temaki handrolls poorly put together, gyozas taste horrible and ramen soup just a joke full of fried pork cauliflower ,carrots and broccoli and overdose of sesame-true Japanese chefs would be committing hari kari if served this stuff!!

The waiter was also the cook apparently, so everything took ages, (taking orders, bringing drinks, bringing meals etc), luckily it wasn't busy that night. The gyozas were horrible, but the salmon skin and avocado roll was fantastic. The tempura was overly battered and took ages to arrive. And the portions were US-standard huge. And although the menu was totally in... More

Slow, slow service. One guy was working the front and kitchen. Tempura was horrible. Over breaded, tempura shouldn't seem breaded. Greasy. Over charged on our bill, he did correct when it was brought up. One positive, the yakisoba was good.

While not quite as refined as what you'd find in a Japanese or Western Capital city the ramen I had was chunky and tasted awesome. The more country style cooking complements the local environment. As a lover of Japanese food I was pleasantly surprised by this establishment. While I didn't order any sushi or sashimi, I did notice others did... More

Is it expensive? Yes. Is it worth it? Absolutely. Jesus is an engaging dude who knows his stuff inside and out, and it shows. Some of the best sushi that I have ever had was made here, and the choice to combine plantain with yellowfin was a very good ethnic spin on sushi. The freshness of everything is more than... More

Excellent place to eat in Monteverde! It was delicious, very tasty and the service was very pleasant. I recommend the Volcano, Tsunami and Samurai roll; sure the place is a little expensive but it is totally worth it!!!
