Based upon reviews, we planned on having lunch at Poderuccio on a drive between Rome and Tuscany. It took us further off the beaten path than was expected and we drove by it the first time not realizing that we were there. A neat and...quaint farmhouse that was relatively empty. We were greeted with such a welcome by the host we immediately forgot about the drive. Bread and soprosetto was brought out and was amazing. The host made his suggestions and we took his advice. What a wonderful and unexpectedly memorable experience. At the end, our wonderful host brought out and shared an aperatif and had a toast. If you are anywhere near this establishment, you need to go.More

Poderuccio was a wonderful experience!!! Antonio was super welcoming, he made us feel at home! He told us about how much he cares about food, putting quality before quantity ( a rare thing nowadays ). We are already looking forward to returning! Antonio and staff,...Thank you so much for making our first visit to Tuscany so much more special! You are amazing!More

Walked from Pienza for lunch! We were the only people present! Perfect service from Antonio! Superb cheese and bacon antipasti, melt in your mouth tortellini, and chocolate torta. Wine of the House was great. All in all, five stars!

After reading the food reviews, I decided to make this our home base for Tuscany and I was not disappointed. Rooms were comfy and had a great view of the Tuscan sunsets. The meals were incredible. This place was packed for lunch and dinner. Erika...and Gabreila are fantastic cooks and Antonio is a character of a waiter. Tried many dishes during our 4 day stay: meat/cheese tray, tuscan bread soup, ravioli with sage, pici with wild boar, beef stew, marinated vegetables, salad, dessert, wine, and lots of liquers! One of my favorite stops during our 3 week trip. Lots more to do - I will be back. Antonio is you're reading this bring the family to visit us in Texas!More

After reading the reviews I decided to make reservations via email. The atmosphere was very homely, the service was exceptional (Antonio greets you like a guest in his home), the prices were good, and man the food was so delicious. At the end of our...meal, Antonio brought 3 digestive liquors to choose from, free of charge. He also gave us a slight discount off our bill. 50 euro well spent for a night out of 2 wines, 2 entrees, and a dessert! Highly recommend!!!More

We ordered what we thought was a normal amount of food. We weren’t expecting them to be so generous! We could barely finish. And it all was so delicious. They bring out strong alcool at the end of the meal. I really liked one specific...one. They gave me the bottle to take home. Thank youMore

We thoroughly enjoyed a lunch and dinner at Poderuccio. We would have gone back for more except that we were visiting a lot of nearby towns and couldn't schedule more meals here :( In spite of being ovo-pesce-vegetarians, we found so much on the menu...that we loved. The farro and chickpea soups were extraordinary, and so were all the pastas and the crostoni with walnuts, and the chocolate cake and home-made cantucci. As other reviewers have said, the family is incredibly kind (discounts, limoncello and vin santi after the meal, etc). We stayed at the Agriturismo as well, and Erika is such a kind person; we were bowled over by her genuine care. Thanks for everything, Erika.More

It’s hard to imagine Poderuccio superseding the reviews that it has received... but it did! This is a two-man show! Antonio works the front and Gabriele does ALL of the cooking. Yet the service is absolutely impeccable and Antonio staged our meal perfectly. The food...is authentically Tuscan and made with only the best ingredients. Every morsel was delectable, and every recommendation that Antonio suggested was perfect. This may have been one of the best meals my wife and I have ever encountered, and we have tasted many amazing meals throughout much of the world. If you’re looking for fancy, look elsewhere. It felt like we were eating in someone’s living room, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. At the end of the night, Antonio offered to drive us back to our car, which was a 15 minute walk back into Pienza. He misunderstood us at first, and was about to drive us back to our hotel, which was 30 minutes away! Where do you find wonderful people like THIS! If you’re in Tuscany, this is an incredible experience that should not be missed!!More

Our favourite meal in Tuscany. Simple hearty food full of flavour and quality served in what feels like a dining room in a rustic farmhouse by charming people. Everything we ate was fantastic and at end of the meal 4 liquor bottles were plonked on...our table for us to enjoy free of charge. Very reasonably priced. Fantastic location, walkable down a hill from the town of Pienza which would take an average person about 15 minutes. If you want proper Italian food with local specialities, go here.More

You are looking for genuine italian food? Simple but just awesome? This is the place! One of the very best lunches if not the best I had in Tuscany. I could very much enjoy (and ll remember) Pici all'aglione, Trippa, Pecorino semi staggionato, torta al...cioccolatto. Everything was perfect and genuine. Also had a glass of a very good wine from Montepulciano. Thanks for the great lunch Poderuccio! Keep on with the same spirit poderuccio! don't change a thing!More
