We stopped off here while visiting Pitigliano recently for lunch. The best pizza so far in Italy and we have had many over the years, the waiter was very polite and kind so if you are visiting this incredible town be sure to stop here...for lunch!More

Very nice little restaurant in the old historic town. Lovely food, cozy restaurant and nice and welcoming staff. Our best recommendations.

The interior of this restaurant in the heart of the old town is not at all bad, despite the title of this piece. The menu was appealing and I selected breast of duck cooked in a crust of pistachio nuts. The taste of the latter...completely masked the taste of the meat and so I separated the meat from the nuts in order to enjoy the flavour of the duck. This dish was accompanied by a trio of vegetables and a very acceptable house red wine. Having had an exceptional cheese board the night before in another restaurant, I decided to try this restaurant's cheese board. It was a disappointment.More

One of our best meals in Tuscany. Very tasty starters and amazing pastas with duck and orange, and sage and butter ravioli! Really nice service as well! Don't miss that place in Pitigliano.

After having to leave another place as we were ignored, we went here. Were seated quite quick, found what we would like to order and waited and waited.... 40 minutes later after several attempts to signal we were ready to place our order we had...to leave as no one acknowledged us. The staff was quick to take money from people leaving, although it was busy no one was run of their feet. So we left.... maybe the food is ok, never found out but service was awful.More

Went in for a meal with my wife. Got a table and the menu. Looked in the menu and found what we wanted to eat pretty fast and then nothing happened. All the young male waiters were busy getting people into the restaurant. After 30...minutes with the menu down on the table but no one wanting to take our orders we left.More

Pizza and salads were both great. Very nice staff as well. In a city where most people were rude to us, the people here were refreshingly welcoming. Five thumbs up!

The “problem” (albeit it a very nice one) in Pitigliano is where to eat when several restaurants are so good offering imaginative menus at competitive prices. This time we opted for the Locanda del Pozzo Antico, drawn to the restaurant by the rich perfume of...black truffles emanating from the kitchen. So it was pici al tartufo for him (sublime) whilst I went for a starter and a salad served together. The starter – crostone with slithers of fresh fennel topped with finocchiona was just the other side of wonderful. The old Jewish recipe salad (so the menu claims) of blood orange, fennel, black olive and rucola was a plate of fresh, crunchy pleasure as a riot of flavours flooded the palate. It’s certainly a dish I shall be recreating at home. This, a half bottle of must-drink-when-in-Pitigliano Pitigliano bianco, an artisan beer, one tiramisu and two coffees came in at just over €40. Fantastic value, superb quality. Service and ambience (we sat outside on a tiny terrace) excellent. We will be back soon. (Only wished we lived a bit nearer ...)More

This is one of the best pizzeria in town with a warm staff. You must definitely try the Pizzone which is a pizza chosen from the menu with a stuffed border. It is a generous pizza so you will find hard to finish it by...yourself. The location is like no other since it is placed in the heart of the old part of Pitigliano. This way you can enjoy a pleasant walk after dinner.More

Our lunch started off with a mixed bruschetta on slices larger than usual, very good. One of us had coniglio, the other anatra filet crusted with pistachio; both very well prepared. We also enjoyed the lightly-grilled pepperoni (bell peppers, not the little slices on a...pizza), zucchine, and melanzane. With a half liter of house red a reasonable 53 euro. Service was very attentive.More

As with many of the Italian walled cities, there are shops and restaurants in all the small alley ways and narrow roadways. This restaurant was one of those. We each had a green salad, had a glass of very good local wine, and shared a...pizza. Very good, indeed.More

We went here with some people who live in Pitigliano & went back a few nights later. On both occasions we were not disappointed with the food, the service & general feel of tge whole place. Absolutely lively & the best Sfraggi in town!!! (A...local sweet delicacy - not to be eaten if you have a nut allergy)More
