We ate here twice, and enjoyed the warm ambience, good canal view, and big fat burgers. Easy to get to and to park, walkable directly on the canal walking path. Quite enjoyable.

A good place to sit & have lunch by the canal , come rain or shine , just watching the swans & the boats in the canal. The staff are friendly , the food is on par , price wise with simular places around.

Hi Bobby So, this was a hot, half-term weekend. Once again, it's the recurring issue a very select few have when they turn up at a canal side location at peak time, without reservation, and expect to eat when and where they want. We were...More

Met up with family as Carnforth is half way between. Came for Lunch before going on to Leighton Hall. Food was very good. The pie was well cooked and tasted very good. I loved the gammon. Everyday food cooked well. Thanks.

We visited The Canal Turn for a meal three times during May, whilst cruising the canal. On each visit it was very busy, but still the meals were served promtly, were fresh and more than adequate in quantity. Our third visit deserves special mention, because...More

Hi Stevenage Thanks for coming to visit us. I totally take the point about the mash with the fishcakes, it's a fair comment and I'll look in to that. However, you could have asked for a different garnish with the fishcakes. We would have happily...More

Can you please tell me if parking fines at the canal turn have been cancelled so that we can enjoy our meal and drinks without worrying. It would be a shame to stop visiting because of this parking meter.

Do you have disabled parking near the entrance, level access, and a disabled loo please?

Hi, yes we do to all. There is only one disabled by though and the small, 23 space car park does get full, especially on lovely days, so if very immobile I would advise avoiding peak periods.
