My wife and I visited La Petite Auberge for the first time having driven through the village on more than one occasion previously, and having been informed by friends that it was well worth a visit. Car parking very accessible opposite the church and only a short stroll to the restaurant. Friendly staff at reception. This visit was a business... More

Lunch on the terrace was quite lovely. Owners out to greet us, talk with us and welcome us inside to their restaurant. We had the chefs menu. A pumpkin coconut soup to start, was quite interesting. The. The scampi risotto which was nice. I had the veal stew which was done not to heavy which was good because it was... More

Superb lunch with great wine, a Rully. We were welcome at 2pm rather late for our party of 5. Saint Didier is a charming little village overlooking meadows and a small lake.

We enjoyed our evening La Petite Auberge and were made to feel very welcome, as was our dog Martha. It was a beautiful summers evening at the start of July (2016) and we ate delicious food in the courtyard. Would recommend for couples and small groups alike - very happily spent a few hours sipping wine, enjoying good food and being... More

Surprise, because there's not a lot in St Didier, it's, er.. diddy! I went as part of a group of about 25 people on Good Friday 2016. Four of the 25 turned up without having booked, but the owners took it all in their stride. It's a super little restaurant, informal and slightly quirky in the way the French often... More

This restaurant is a little treasure in lovely Morvan. The restaurant serves 5 courses of delight for a gentle € 32. Good wines and very friendly & interesting hostess and chef! We will definitely return to their table!

Promising as it was recommended by the locals. However when we got there, the interior did not match the outside and the seats were somewhat uncomfortable. Choice was limited and when asked for an alternative for the starter (goats cheese) we ended up getting a plain mixed salad while salmon was promised. Main dish was more a German style dish... More

Once in a while everyone has a bad day.... We regret your disappointment. Being in the countryside and during the high season we sometimes have so many guests that we run out of the expected ingredients, nevertheless we try to find solutions. The chef, Martial, has had an international career and this of course influences his cooking which our clients... More

Just lovely, with a beautiful outdoor space. Fantastic service and full of character. The food is reliably good although the menu is limited and subject to the chefs mood on the day. Les Petite Auberge is eccentric and charming. Don't hesitate to visit, this restaurant will feed your soul and make you feel welcome whenever you go.
