We make a point to visit Tante Pos every time we are in country and in town and it never is disappointing. The menu changes regularly with a few fixed courses, even some seasonal additions to the printed menu. Service and quality of the food...are always excellent. A really positive dining experience as part of of a long table of 12 was had by all with a nice selection of starters including a trio of fish for me washed down with a nice Chardonnay, others enjoying the selection of Soups and more......The steak was cooked well albeit a little chewy in parts with most of the party raving about the Schnitzel! If you've got an appetite take the Ribs or Mixed Grill on.... The restaurant is pretty much in the centre of Ommen and in its presentation is traditional with modern flavours including brightly coloured French style chairs and large mirrors....The staff were really friendly and attentive... We did not want to dine in our hotel and since this restaurant was No 1 on Trip Advisor, and near our hotel we, after looking at the menu and chatting to a waiter, decide to opt for here. We were glad we did. They...have an extensive a la carte. In addition they have a set 3 course menu which is" Chef's Surprise". You have to ask on the night what the 3 courses are. We tride this and were very surprised at the standard. The main course was the best we had during our trip in Holland. There is an outdoor dining area and as it is in the town square you can watch the passing parade. The staff were very efficient and friendly and spoke good English.. Good food reasonable prices and good service. We went back the next night sand were very pleased again.More

The weather was lovely, so we wanted to have dinner outside. The menu of Tante Pos appealed to us, so we picked a table on the terrace in the sun. They have a nice choice of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. My friend does not...eat very much, and it was no problem to order an entree for main course. The terrace was nice, the waiting was good, the wine was fine, so we had a very nice evening.More

It is a Restaurant with a modern ambiance. First we had some drinks on a windshielded heated terras. Afterwards we dinned on the second floor. The waitresses were very friendly and food was very good.

I had the beer tartare for starters and the entrecote as main course. The former was good, but the entrecote was terrible. The quality of meat was below par and the streak of fat was way too larger. I ordered it saignant, but got it...overcooked. When confronting the staff, the reply was: "sorry". Hardly a memorable experience.More

If you like quantity of food this is the place. Starter of warm prawns very good although prawns a little firm. Beef carpaccio very good. Main pasta with blue cheese was more like a salad and no cohesive sauce to tie together - but very...good ingredients. And arrived with chips and salad! Quality ingredients and good service but won't be visiting again.More
