I have eaten here about five or six times, each time better than the previous! Wonderful selection to choose from as well as catering to any and all dietary requirements. Incredible food and well priced too. All along with lovely staff and atmosphere too. Would definitely recommend.

First time here. I had a really nice aubergine curry with very coconuty sauce and "string hoppers" - a pile of flat nests of rice-flour noodles - unusual and a great alternative to bread or rice. The place was quiet and the waiters were friendly even to a single diner ordering a small vegetarian meal.

Ate here whilst staying the weekend in Hove, we hadn't booked but they had space on a Friday night for 2 people. I had a spicy tuna dish and my partner a red snapper, both meals were tasty and well cooked and the prices were reasonable. Worth a visit for some good authentic Sri Lanken food.

I have came several times to Moonstone over my years living in Hove. The food in this Sri Lankan restaurant has always been consistently good. On this occasion I stuck with vegetarian dishes and was not disappointed. My main was the spinach and lentil curry which was yummy. The starter were small lentil patties with a yoghurt dressing. My friend... More

Went back last night after not going for a few years. Menu has not changed but it did not matter as the food and service was amazing 10/10

I cant rate this place highly enough its a revalation to someone who likes a curry and often struggles to find a good restaraunt. Hits all of my targets, modest menu, food that is obvioulsy cooked fresh, lovely staff and good price. Everything we ate was great although the devilled chicken stood out. Just go.

You do rely on the restaurant to know what goes into the products it serves. The deep fried lentil dumplings were over cooked when they arrived. We asked for them to be redone. They came back exactly the same - implying that they had been bought frozen from a local retailer and were not as advertised free from gluten. The... More

My first Sri Lankan restaurant - and what a great experience it was! The flavours are distinctive - although not unrelated to what one finds on the Malabar coast to the North - and some dishes are unique e.g. I have never come across 'devilled' squid which was yummy! So were the string hoppers with accompanying coconut sambal, and the... More

It was ok. I had to ask for a drink when waiting for the rest of the group, after about 10 minutes and it wasn't busy. Nice flavours but nothing special. Worked out about £25 a head with a group of 6 including wine. I was choking often on the vapours which filled the room, from what must have been... More

Staff were very friendly. However food was very poor, very small portions, dry and tasteless.had to wait 30 mins plus for food.
