The food is divine, the prices reasonable, service excellent and friendly, the gardens and walks magnificent. I wasn't expecting how good this place (gardens and restaurant) would be and ended up staying a lot longer than planned. I had only planned on going through the gardens but I'm very glad my friend convinced me to also have lunch at Koru.... More

I have lived in the Coromandel Peninsula on and off all my life and I am wondering why it has taken me so long to visit Koru @ Rapaura Restaurant and Cafe. I think we need to start acting like a tourist in our own backyards and not leave these beautiful treasures for visitors to our area to enjoy only.... More

I'd visit again in an instant, we had coffee and delicious cake then visited the stunning gardens cumulating in a walk to their waterfall and swimming hole. The gardens are a delight, what an amazing effort they have put in. We met the lady owners son, he was charming and chatted to us for quite some time. We are looking... More

What a special place! To begin with, the gardens of Rapaura are a delight and offer a setting that is truly memorable! Take the time to walk the water gardens and the short hike up the seven steps to a small, but special stream and waterfall. Also, if you ever have the opportunity, you must stay at the lodge on... After the walk around the water gardens, we went to the restaurant hoping to get just coffee and desserts. The kitchen was almost closed at that time too. However, the chef was really nice and approached us to recommend food for lunch. The food was simply amazing- the flounder was prepared to perfection and the lamb was really tender. Coupled... More

My husband was grumpy as he had missed dinner the night before so I cheered him up with the promise of a nice breakfast at Koru as it had had good reviews. You do wander where you are heading as you drive up some narrow country roads BUT keep going as it is well worth the trip. If you are... More

Sacha and Sally present high quality delicious food in lovely surroundings (both the restaurant and surrounding gardens are immaculately presented). The special almond chocolate cake is a must have. The prices of plated food are well worth it as the kitchen is run by an amazing chef with a passion for creating fantastic tasting meals. Quality tasteful NZ gifts on... More

We had a lovely walk around the Gardens at Easter. It was very peaceful and relaxing there were only two other couples there at the time. It took about 45 mins to get all the way round. Then we went for Coffee. Good coffee and a Toastie each for lunch. What's not to like!
