My family and I ate here daily during our stay. We had breakfast here daily. Very delicious. The evening meals were very good as well. One evening there was a band which was entertaining.

This landmark restaurant is currently closed and under renovation. It will open under new ownership and will be much more upscale according to word on the street.

I think this is a generally good restaurant for anybody, families, couples, friends, solo. Easy to get to. Open all the time, huge menu.

The food here was really good. The service is slow. Be careful with that water. My group had drank bottled water our entire vacation. Night before we left - we drank the water there! Bad idea. We all got sick. So go. The food is good. Location is great. Just don't drink the water. Bring your own.

Great breakfast place, and fun evening party spot. This is a great post surf breakfast place. Typical Costa Rican food, and American breakfasts. I always grab the pancakes, and a banana/mango smoothie(nothing like fresh fruit). The evening party spot seems to rotate based on the night. The Gilded Iguana is one of the better spots for evening fun. Plenty of... More

This is both a Hotel and a restaurant/Sports Bar. It's on the main strip in Guiones and very easy to spot. The atmosphere is the same as most sports bars in the US. The service was good, the food was good and the prices, while higher than most typico-style restaurants was fair. The best thing about the Gilded Iguana was... More

This is a festive little icon restaurant that all the surfers visit and pal around. Great food open air dining and occasionally you'll see an iguana. Dogs are welcome...they just stroll through...hey they're on vacation too!

We went with a large group after one of our friends came back from a fishing trip with a large cubera snapper. Guided Iguana did a fabulous job of cooking the fish a few different ways and creating a feast around it. I'm picky about fish and this was the tastiest I've had. Delicious!

I guess it depends what you are looking for. We went for the live music which was ok. The food was the same, ok. The prices are high. The seafood soup was really good. The rest was kind of meh.

No trip to Nosara is complete without a meal at the Gilded Iguana. I have enjoyed both lunches and dinners at the GIR. Really good food and a great spot for a beer after a long hot day of surfing.
