I ordered rack of lamb which was some of the best I have had and my wife ordered duck which I also tried and was delicious. Service was spot on. Creme brulee at the end of the meal was a good choice. We liked the place so much we tried to return for breakfast but unfortunately they don't do that...... More

The food was disappointing - it sounded good on the menu but was just so-so when it arrived. I can't even remember what I had but my husband had ribs that were nothing special.

Chose this for an evening meal when staying at a motel with no restaurant. It was one of only 2 places open on a Monday night! (The other was more of a bar with light food.) Great staff, plenty of beer and wines to choose from but a slightly limited menu. The food we did choose was great - certainly... More

Outstanding service and a beautiful meal at a reasonable price. I had the chicken and my husband had the famous ribs. A must do place to eat in Whangamata. You can eat inside or out and the bar is extensive.

Nice little bistro, moderate prices great spot. Service was great, if we had to be fussy I would say the only thing was the music was too loud for the time of night - it was a live band and just a bit loud for dinner time when you're trying to have a conversation but would have been awesome a... Very nice sirloin with green pepper jus. Very glad that I opted for salad and fries because the 'chef's potatoes' were boiled new potatoes which wouldn't have been as good. The lamb racks was my wife's choice. They were very nice but the 'chef's potatoes' ho hum and a little more jus would have been great. No room for deserts... More

This would be one of the busiest restaurant in Whangamata. The night we went there, happened to be Thursday, when it was steak night. It was an excellent meal, the staff are very pleasant and attentive. Even the chef came out to ask how the meal was, and share pleasantries with the customers. The owner is always assisting customers, and... More
