Eaton Farm has been closed for 2 weeks but I think the work done was worth the wait and as'regulars' we were invited to a special pre-re-opening 'tester' evening meal today. The pub has been considerably brightened up inside, making it feel much larger somehow. There's a new floor in the carvery area and the bar area has been much... More

Yet again another fabulous Sunday carvery at this very busy pub. Roast beef to die for. Best to book in advance.

Three of us called in for lunch and decided on the Carvery, our friend had the small plate with a pudding at £5.99, my wife had the medium plate and being hungry I had the large plate. The girls had beef and turkey, the medium plate had two good slices of each plus a Yorkshire pudding and a slice of... More

Visited here for a carvery meal Sunday lunchtime. We ate early and the food was good. The beef was tender and the vegetables nicely cooked. I liked the idea of the different sized plates which for me is a good option. Because we were early, service was quick and the food was freshly cooked and had not been standing long.... More

Well I'm not sure whether we were getting the leftovers from lunchtime, if we were then that would have explained a lot! The beef was a dried up little scrag end, the veg were stuck to the pan (the carrots had a white scum around the edge) the potatoes were hard and inedible. When asked about the beef the grumpy... Visited in the run up to chrimbo with friends. Very typical chain pub grub with wide choice on the menu to suit most tastes. We ordered the steak and it was nicely cooked but wasn't the best cut of meat, quite stringy in places but which given the price is understandable. All in all a pretty decent budget night out... Food is very good, especially the carvery which is extremely good value for money. A good choice of drinks at reasonable prices. Service is friendly and you don't have to wait too long to be served. There is ample room in the establishment. However, I have two major criticisms which is why I only rate the pub as average. Firstly,... More

Thank you very much for your feedback. It is always welcoming to hear how our customers feel. We agree there are times when children do run riot, however we the management and staff try our upmost to stop this by explaining to the parents the dangers of hot plates food and glass wear within the pub/restaurant. We will continue to... More

Five of us booked a meal last night at Eaton Farm. Two of us are strict ethical vegetarians, and have been all our lives. Despite the poor choice in vegetarian options on the menu we settled for the vegetarian lasagne each and a further guest ordered the meat version of lasagne. When the food arrived the first problem was a... More

Dear customer, Thank you for your feedback. We strive to ensure that issues like this do not occur however we are human and unfortunately some things do slip through the net. Our party of four tried the 'Lite Bites' menu. Three of us had the fish and chips but I had the BBQ chicken with chips and salad, The fish was heavy on the batter and the chicken could have been a little hotter, The BBQ sauce would have been nicer served separately. It was a quiet Monday lunchtime but the... More
