Took a walk around the area of this historic planned village that never came about Then went over to the Hotel and had tea and afterwards walked around the grounds, which are beautiful. The tea was lovely but we were disappointed that they chose to charge our card in US dollars, for which they charged a fee for doing so,... More

We stopped here for a coffee having walked from Robin Hood's Bay along the coastal path. We received a very warm welcome as did everyone who walked in. I ordered coffee and cake and my daughter had tea and a scone. The coffee and walnut cake was delicious as was the scone. I loved the fact that the tea was... More

We stopped here for lunch having hired bikes for a day trip on the cinder track. Service was excellent. The owner happily found us somewhere inside when we decided it was actually a little chilly to eat outside even though it was busy. The interior has a cosy home-like feel, as does the food which was also excellent (we had... More

Had just walked from robin hood's bay, what a lovely place! Very welcome tea and ice cream, and was amazed that they had soya milk! Nice friendly staff and cheap too, thoroughly recommended :)

We found this little gem by chance when searching the area. It was that nice I visited it three times in 24 hours! The first day I had a lovely freshly made sandwich followed later the same day with a coffee & walnut cake. I enjoyed it that much I returned the following day with my wife and three dogs.... More

A wonderful old style tea room, great service so friendly and welcoming, lovely home made scones and cake and a very welcome pot of tea. You can sit indoors or outside and take in the lovely views. Get there walking or by bike along the old Whitby / Scarborough coastal rail track or by car. Well worth a visit highly... More

Walked from robin hoods bay and found this lovely tea room which is dog friendly . Had sandwiches ( freshly made ) and a cheese toaster with fresh brewed coffee and tea. The lad who I think runs it with his mum was very friendly and had fantastic knowledge of the village. Perfect place to refuel before the hike back... More
