On Saturday 5th march visited the royal arms for the first time, I was told upon booking that renovations were underway However it made no difference to a most pleasant evening, seated upstairs. Service was efficient and pleasant, starters were skipped but mains of pork two ways and lamb chops were excellent although I thought the pork chops were a... More

I am so happy we gave this place a go! When we got there we were a little worried as they were trialing a new menu and the main restaurant area was being renovated. We never had anything to worry about. The food is so well priced for the standard - which is so high and locally sourced which is... More

We take it in tirns to choose a restaurant and hold it as a mystery until we arrive. Last Wednesday we arrived at the Royal in Suuton Cheney. A truly warm welcome. An ideal corner table with a spotless whote table cloth.(sadly we did have to request napkins/servittes...a simple omission we are certain) Superb waitress.Menu was extensive..all four dishes were delicious... Food was tasty although the menu is fairly limited when we visited on Christmas Eve. The biggest draw back however was that the place wasn't dog friendly so I only ordered a main meal and then left so I hadn't left my tiny puppy in the car too long.

Decent hotel for the price but would need a renovation and improve WiFi connection which might get hard to get... Staff very friendly and the hotel is very cosy and clean.

A very cold Novemeber and found the Royal Arms just to my taste. Loads of typical pub hotel paraphenalia but not too much to give a really nice cosy feel to the place. Nice clientele quiet and most pleasant. The staff were young but very friendly - something I find in pubs young people have trouble being. Just friendly and... More

We have been visiting this amazing place for a number of years now and we have always had fantastic food, in wonderful and homely surroundings and made to feel very welcome by the staff. I look forward to visiting you again next year.
