Once again the Valley Brewery surpassed themselves with their evening meal. I popped into their bottle store to stock up on their fantastic brews and found myself tempted with their shoulder of lamb. So a few hours later 6 of us turned up for a beautifully cooked shoulder of lamb with roasted potatoes, parsnips and vegetables. All this with a... More

Called in for lunch. Pleasant enough greeting from staff and prompt drinks service, but way too long for food to come out. The cafe wasnt that full as most if the people were already eating. Food was ok for a little lunch stop and prices reasonable. Called in the bottle shop for a look at the beers which was more... More

Wished I knew about this place earlier as had already had breakfast when we called in Sunday morning for a coffee en route for Christchurch Airport. Others however had saved themselves and what was coming out of the kitchen looked fantastic. The coffees were good too. Didn't get the chance to try the beers, but this place works well without... I found out about this wee gem from a work colleague so had to visit while in Geraldine. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We saw the main food and it looked delicious but on this occasion we just had hot chips and some beer tasting boards. We enjoyed all of the beers but the standouts for me were the... More

We had this place recommended to us so we thought we would check it out and we are so glad we did. The beer tasting platter was amazing and a great way to work out your favourite tipple. $9 for 6 beer tastings was a bargain. The staff were friendly, informative and attentive , we felt right at home.Loved their beer... We stopped in for a lunch/bathroom stop and had the best lunch of our holiday. The burger and homemade pie was amazing great price as the food all came with chips and salad and couldn't eat it all. We tasted some of the beer with the beer paddle which was great tasting full of flavour. The staff were lovely gave... More

Well, I totally understand cafes and restaurants for charging non-customers using their toilets. But 5$ is ridiculous! There are about five signs all over the place stating that. That creates I nice atmosphere of hospitality... Well we ordered Espresso and Chai and it took 15 minutes in an empty cafe to get it. The espresso was a disaster, the chai... More

A group of 6 adults visited here late on evening. Great little venue, good hospitality and small menu but done well. The food was very good. There were a couple of nice beers in the tasting platter depending on what style you like. A small but decent wine selection to suit the menu. A great place to stop for a... More

This brewery is great, in the middle of no where but so nice when you've been driving for ages. The owners are really nice and the venue is really well set up. Would defiantly be great for an event. I had the tasting paddle which is a must have on a first visit to any brewery.. we also ordered fries... More

Description
We offer good, honest, hearty fare. We are not fine dining, but believe in giving value for money. Our Blue Cod is becoming famous by all our guests who pass this secret on to others. The beers are all brewed on site and have had wonderful reviews from peers and those who like craft beer. Tasting paddles are available so you don't have to commit to just one beer. Our main ethos is to offer excellent, friendly service and give everyone a brilliant experience as they dine, inside or outside in our beautiful rural setting.
