We called in for lunch midweek without booking and we were quickly found a table. The restaurant is nicely furnished and service was just right, helpful and unobtrusive. I had grilled sardines for starter which was very good then a perfectly cooked and very tasty medium rare heart of rump steak for main. The chefs were happy to accommodate a... More

Visited here for lunch yesterday, poor staff had had their water supply cut off by road works outside, "not a problem "they said as we ordered jug of water, they brought us a bottle with no charge. Ordered duck ballotine to start, just divine, went so well with the rhubarb, home made warm sourdough bread , yummy. Salmon for mains... More

First visit to Baslow.. We visited Rowleys on Saturday evening, 4th Feb. Service was excellent, food is to a very good standard. Overall hospitality was perfect, staff are lovely and very accommodating. Definitely worth a visit.. can take dogs in too (although we didn't take ours). Even nice of you're just passing for a drink!

We hadn't visited for sometime. The restaurant standards are still very high and the staff are still excellent. The menu seemed a little short on choice and although quality ingredients cooked well we had expected something more refined. No complaints however, it's just a little more relaxed

Just had a lovely meal at Rowley's. The food was really nice and and washed down with some good wine. The service was good and we both really enjoyed the meal. The Sea Bass was cooked to perfection. Would certainly return.
