We decided to book a table for three because we came across a special deal they had on their website. "The deal was: buy one main meal get the second free" When we asked her for the offer, she replied: "we don't have this deal anymore and it is last years offer" to our dismay we reminded her that the... Love the food here. We've had the hotpots on 2 occasions and the food is fantastic. The staff are really helpful. The restaurant does look like a very cheap cafe with cheap tables and chairs but you can overlook that for the great food. The service is prompt, polite and helpful. I think it's BYO. Its got an okay atmosphere.... More

got a voucher and was keen to try. we ordered a sukiyaki hot pot and the food was good. good amount of food but it was very very salty so we had to put drinking water in. The waitress was polite but not attentive at all. not many customers but everything was slow. the waitress doesn't even bother to tell... More

The sukiyaki is extremely good value. I have eaten Sukiyaki plenty of times in Australia and Japan and Hibari does it the best. Good value with a groupon voucher for $29.

On a visit to the Gold Coast my wife and I purchased a groupon for this restaurant. We had the sukiyaki hot pot. Firstly was impressed with the amount of food they gave us to cook. We got Pork, Beef and Chicken as well as assorted vegetables and an egg. The waitress gave us some idea how it worked but... More

We had the Hot pot experience for two which could probably feed 3 or 4 people. Nice location with very friendly staff.

Unfortunately we wouldn't go back and are making sure that we tell other travellers that are staying with us not to bother. The salmon in the sashimi was so strong smelling that it was almost rancid. Our son who usually devours a ramen hardly touched his. He said the meat tasted funny and I tasted some of the broth and... More

We went for dinner here early on a Monday night and there were almost no people when we arrived. Place was really bust when we left tho. The decor it pretty unprepossessing but the food was great. We had a Groupon voucher for the hot pot for 4 people. They gave us more food than we knew what to do... More

We had a Groupon voucher my wife had bought online before travelling to GC. We had a few probs finding the place as it didn't locate accurately on google maps. But once we found it we were happy. We dined early with young and tired kids from a day at Movieworld. The waitress was very friendly and helpful and explained... More
