We enjoyed several meals at La Mariposa. A favourite for me was the spaghetti with almond pesto and prawns. My husband enjoyed the Dorada and a delicate seafood soup. The Cod Mariposa with shellfish was well presented. Try the almond ice cream with fresh strawberries. The chicken stuffed with spinach and pesto was a good combination. The house wine and Sangria were... More

We stayed round the corner at Resedencias las Norias so this was our local. We normally like to eat at as many places as we can when we are away to get a true flavour of local cooking but having sampled the other 2 local places and 2 others further away, we returned to La Mariposa 4 times as it... On a warm day, outside seating is available but the interior of the restaurant is very attractive too. We had dinner here on two different occasions as the restaurant was located not far from our lodging. We were accommodated both times without a reservation. We sampled quite a number of dishes from the menu and the food was all of... More

Visited during Christmas week and was very impressed. Neither of us had tried goat before so decided to give it a try (Canarian goat stew with Canarian potatoes). Cooked to perfection and very tasty indeed so I would recommend to anyone. We ate early to beat the rush so were sat straight down. Very impressed and would visit again.

Paella was not As good as in valencia, but still very decent. Gazpacho and carpaccio were great. Desserts very tasteful. Friendly service, good local wine. You wonder why the locals eat inside, but we understood when we got swarmed by flies and fruitflies. Not the best place to eat outside.

Gazpacho was good, but really they don't know how to make curry (than don't put it on your menu!), it was awful. One fish dish was very plain. Sad to say I can cook better myself.. A nice view can't make up for the food.

We ate here twice, so were happy to return for a second visit. I am not sure we would bother about a third. The food was good but I think a microwave was involved to reheat food previously prepared because there was a small cold spot in the middle. Apart from this I would have given it a five.

Very nice interior and friendly waitresses. Good local food (paella) accompanied by excellent local white wine, all this at very reasonable prices.

We had one evening meal at La Mariposa...and it was delicious. It was beautifully served, the staff were friendly but inconspicuous, and the food divine!

We ate here 4 times and each meal was excellent. It's a little more formal than other restaurants nearby but great food.
