We loved the food, and the space is very very nice and pleasant. It was like being in the best part of Cádiz, they knew how to do it very well and they also knew how to convey it to us both with the service and with the menu. A very good discovery. Of course, you shouldn't leave there without trying the tuna, what a flavor it is.

We visited here as a family with young children and received a good welcome. The restaurant is very traditionally decorated. Beautiful plants, antiques, stone flooring. Really beautiful. Set in a lovely village square. The menu has lovely typical Spanish choices that are all really delicious. We enjoyed a mix of fish and meat. Service was friendly and efficient. I look forward to going back.

The place that changed the history of bullfighting in the hands of Manuel Ballón "the African" and what was later the old square of arms houses a restaurant where Rodrigo caters exquisitely to the lucky ones who go to taste their foods. A must stop in this watchtower of Sanroqueña where you can see the coast of this paradise of Cadiz. Long live Don Benito!!

Last summer we were here for dinner and we liked it, so we decided to go with the family to try this place. As far as the waiter was concerned in finding a place for us inside since it was very windy outside, there is no fault, but as far as the table service is concerned, it was not good. Between courses they took a long time, they made a mistake and brought tuna with salmorejo when we had ordered tuna with mojo picón. The montaditos bread, very bad. At least put it warm and not with the bread that looked like it was from the day before and the half portions looked like tapas. The presentations of the dishes left a lot to be desired. It's a shame that you have to leave a place with such a reputation disgusted by this loss of quality and professionalism.

Nice location on typical place in San Roque. Warm welcome and great service. Nice tapa's and good and honest food. Do not expect a Michelin experience but expect honest, fresh and good food with a bog smile! worth a visit just for the welcoming

I experienced the most wonderful experience at this warm, rustic and authentic restaurant! The staff were very friendly, attentive and welcoming, and the atmosphere was perfect. I enjoyed dining with the beautiful and unmistakable background music of Cameron and Paco de Lucia which contributed to the authentic Spanish ambience, and the food was absolutely delicious! Highly recommended!

We went to Don Benito on our first night in San Roque and enjoyed it so much that we went back three nights later. On both nights we had tapas, very tasty food and plenty of it both food and drinks are reasonably priced. Even with the restaurant being quite full service was excellent and at no time did we feel rushed. As I have family living in San Roque I will certainly be going back in the future when visiting

I live in San Roque and this place is in fantastic scenic area beside church. My son normally plays with other kids whilst adults relax. There are other restaurants in the plaza. Well worth a visit. Staff really friendly, food great and not expensive 😊

During our stay in San Roque, we visited Don Benito twice. All of the tapas were excellent. We particularly liked the octopus with the black ali-oli sauce, the "chipirones a la plancha" (tiny squid), and the fried goat cheese with honey. I saw salmorejo on the menu and had to order it since it is one of my favorites. It was excellent, too. The place seems to fill up quickly, so I'd make a reservation. This is the go-to place for authentic and creative tapas at reasonable prices.

Don Benito is a lovely little restaurant/bar just at the side of the church at the top on San Roque. There are a couple of bars in the square each having tables in the square The food at Don Benito is as authentic Spanish fayre as you can find and very reasonably priced The small bar area inside is great for a San Miguel or two in its own right Definitely recommend fish from the menu as well as the serrano ham and spanish cheese in oil...hmmm
