What a FAB restaurant. A sort of elegant back to nature design- lots of dark wood, wonderful wooden vaulted ceiling, whicker chairs, great porch/ terrace and lovely views. Elegant yet relaxed. The steaks are the best quality I have had - many different cuts available. Top quality and cooked to perfection. It's great to have an option to fries /chips and the gratinised potatoes were wonderful. Also served with creamed spinach topped with flaked almonds which gave a great flavour and texture. Empanadas as a starter where also extremely good- seasoned and spiced to perfection. Some great wines available. Service is very professional without being over the top. It is top end prcing, as you would expect but this only reflects the quality of this dining experience.

Before ordering our meat, our waiter brought out the different cuts on a plate so we saw exactly what we were ordering. I ordered the fillet of beef, it was a very thick piece of meat and cooked perfectly. My boyfriend ordered the high lion, this was a very big piece of meat too. The sides were quite big, our favourites were the french fries, creamed spinach and potato gratin. Overall, the food was incredible. The service was also great. They were attentive but knew when to give space. Alejandro was great. We have already booked in for out next meal! 10/10

Excellent Argentinian restaurant, I have lived in Argentina and can compare this to a high end restaurant in BsAs. The steaks were cooked to perfection, morcilla was good, the creamed spinach fantastic and if you are from Argentina, mollejas my wife loved. Wine list does not have many selections, but very good wine on offer. Most definitely we will return many times, and the service was spectacular and very attentive.

The standard of food is excellent and Cancha II is in a lovely location but after an unfortunate incident at the end of our meal we left with a very sour taste in our mouths. A full glass of coffee was dropped from the tray as it was being served and spilt everywhere. It covered one guest and splattered over two more guests. We understand that this can happen and the waitress was very apologetic.
However, more attention was given to wiping the table than to checking if the guest had received burns from the hot coffee or offering to help him clean up. He sorted himself out in the restroom with cold water. Burn cream was eventually offered. We asked for the bill and paid in full, nothing was offered in way of compensation. We had to ask to speak to the manager before we left. We are now home and need to launder shorts and a shirt and arrange to dry clean a dress. A handbag has also had to be thoroughly cleaned. Not the service recovery that you expect from this standard of restaurant.

After having had wonderful food and experience in the past, we hate to say that the last three visits to one of our favourite restaurants has left us shocked and disappointed. The staff must have changed as it's almost impossible to get served, waitresses unable to recall a small drinks order, orders being missed or forgotten, 9 staff standing behind the bar chatting whilst customers try to get their attention. There was more focus on preparation for the evening tables than there was on the tables full of customers still eating and finishing lunch. We had to get up from our meal and go to the bar three times for condiments, ice, menus etc. The food also sadly wasn't up to scratch either, the chicken and lamb were both overcooked and dry, however, the side dishes were very nice as always. The last time we went, we were served Chateux Briand for two on a cold stone, when we asked why, they said we need to ask for it to be heated. If it's not coming hot, why serve it on a stone at all? We also had the same issues with service. For an upmarket restaurant with such a good reputation, surely having trained and experienced waiters should be a priority. Sadly having such a bad experience three times means dining at Cancha II has now become the last time for us all.

Went to this restaurant with high hopes. We red the menu beforehand and it sounded pretty good, also for non- meat eaters. It was my husband's birthday dinner, so we wanted it to be something special.
But it turned out quite different.
It's said that better the view, worse the food -and this unfortunately applies to this place. The setting is beautiful, without a doubt.
But the salads we ordered were probably the worse we have ever tasted. The salad dressing tasted like something that had been open in a fridge for more than 3 days. Not good. Couldn't finish even one third of the salads.
Why even have a salad menu, if no clue how to make them?
The meet dish my companion ordered apparently was good, but nothing to die for.
The place is also extremely over priced for what it offers.
I gave this place two points just because of the setting -it is beautiful.
Probably a nice place to have couple of drinks, but nothing more.

We offer lunch and dinner, as you say, in a great location but we must insist, all our staff and food goes according to our location, of course.

Dissapointing for the price you pay that the experience isn´t as it should be for a minimum of 80€ per person dinner.
Food took long,around 1h 20 min for 2 main dishes.
order was wrong asked for the small portions got the big ones and got them charged even after they told us they wouldn´t as it was their mistake.
Had to ask 3 times for something to stop the table moving.
Expect much more from a place like this, definetely wouldn´t reccomend for a special ocassion or if you want everything to be perfect for someone.
A lot of people talk about delivering service, not many actually then deliver it.

Gave it a 2nd chance, left with the same impression!
This is an overrated restaurant. On both occasions the atmosphere sounded like I was sat in a canteen, can’t hear the music just people shouting over each other.
The steak was close to €40 with no sides and I have had much better steaks for the €25/€30 range including sides and a bigger steak! I don’t mind paying for great food but this place is overly expensive and incredibly average.
It is a beautiful setting outside and the service was good that’s the only positive really.

We had a fantastic anniversary meal, one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time.
The home made beef empanadas are a must for the starter, along with the prawns and chorizo. Cutting the fillet steak was like slicing through butter & all the sides just perfect.
The staff were attentive and friendly , always available if we needed something.
It’s a lovely setting and I’m so pleased we came.
We really look forward to returning. Thank you :)

We'd known of this place for years and finally made it. We had lunch with friends for a birthday on Friday. (they knew it was a birthday and had it written on the diary from when we made the reservation, but offered nothing -not even saying "cumpleanos feliz"). Not a problem as service and food as well as ambiance were fabulous. We had 5 starters all great, but my favorite was the beef tataki-one of the best I've ever had anywhere in the world. There were 3 beef mains, all cooked to perfection. 3 side dishes, again, perfect. We ended with two desserts-the carrot cake was like no other and amazing. The setting was enjoyable with the rain falling, the room was warm and the views across the polo fields were pretty with the trees in golds and orange.

Booking is always easy and the warm welcome starts on any reply you receive from Alejandro. We had a table for 10 and we sat on the terrace which is amazing. The food was exceptional as always and the fillet, scallops, traditional sausage black pudding just a few of the wonders on the menu. Wine list covers all desires and to be honest we all just loved the evening and are dreaming of the next one.

Came here as 16 diners as part of a golf tour. Food was really good, steaks especially, and considering the number of diners, all food turned up correctly, hot and with nothing missing! Argentinian specials were greatVery impressive. It was also a wonderful evening overlooking the polo fields and we had a great night- one of the highlights of our few days,

Place is very nice in front of polo fields. The place is cooled and they also have a nice terrasse outside. We took a tartare and a set of tapas with a bottle of wine. Tartare was good and tapas ranged from unfrozen deep fried stuff to very good. Wine was ok for the price. Service was also correct.
Overall not a bad experience but not good enough to come back.

This is a steak house on the polo fields in sotogrande. They have great steak and good service and if you want a break from the hustle and bustle of Marbella then definitely go to this restaurant which has a wonderful patio and if its not too hot its truly very romantic and great views over the polo fields. The steaks are good and the service is good too. It’s not as high end as you will find in Marbella but it is very good.

Money no object this is the best steak restaurant in Sotogrande. The meat is mouthwatering whatever you go for. Not much point coming if you don’t have an inner carnivore.
The starters also show off more culinary flair and shouldn’t be missed.
Setting is lovely as well, plenty of outdoor seating and a good place to watch the sun set.
