Came across this in lonely planet guide book, for an (apparently) local/authentic taste of seafood on the island. Apparently the locals like overcooked fish. The swordfish was dry and unpalatable - smothering it in Garlic sauce did little to help. Our one portion of prawns...More

We came here as was told was beautiful food. It is traditional and all fish and some chicken. We tried the octopus and the cuttlefish. Not to our liking. But we needed to test the food. Ran by lovely owners who make you feel welcome....More

We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel concierge. What a gem of a find. It is only a very small cafe in an alley, so it is not easy to find. We knew we are onto something good when we had to wait for...More

A gorgeously-hidden away restaurant, serving fabulously-fresh fish and seafood, with really quick and efficient service. Lovely salad, and tasty chicken legs for those who don't want fish. Clean toilets too!

This restaurant is located in a prominent area. I doubt they will close during the busiest time of the year.
I would like to know if they do Paella and/or other Spanish fish stews?

Limited menu and dependent on fresh fish available but if you go might be worth suggesting they do paella, they are very friendly and open to suggestions, could become a 'Sunday' special or similar
I would appreciate the dates that El Cine are closed during Summer...I arrived last year on the 10th September only to find it was closing for a fortnight...I would hate this to happen again..

El Cine is a cosy restaurant placed at Los Cristianos Harbour. People from everywhere visit El Cine to enjoy its traditonal canarian cuisine. We are placed at Los Cristianos Harbour, Tenerife. We have been doing our best for more than 25 years, and our only goal is to provide a good service and quality food for all our customers. At Restaurante El Cine you can taste a great variety of dishes: grilled Cuttlefish, grilled hake fillet, grilled & fresh sardines, mackerel, fresh tuna, fish of the day, fried octopus and squid, delicious grilled prawns, traditional chicken wings, canarian potatoes, Tomato & Onion salad and the wonderful spicy and non-spicy canarian "mojo" sauce. You can also enjoy traditional cuisine acompanied with local wines and all the designations of origin for spanish wines..
