This place serves tasty and authentic Malay cuisine. Zura, the owner and chef who mans the place with her family members, gives prompt and friendly service. Highly recommended is her deep fried, crispy but lightly salted fish which goes well with white rice and curries....Her beef soup is rich and flavourful. Opens only for lunch and parking is plentiful along the side of the road. The place can be a bit hot if it is a sunny day.More

Located at last bus stop of Teluk Bahang. Overall, the place looks ordinary. However, the food is really great. Zura, the owner, knows how to prepare the curry, just like how mum used to cook at home. must try : fried fish with sambal, curry...ikan kering, gulai nangka, pajeri nenas. prawn and crab dishes. The main plus point is that their fishes and seafood are cooked fresh.More

Located along Jalan Hassan Abas, this cafe was recommended by one of the tourist drivers who frequent the area (we asked him while we were at Craft Batik, which was less than 5 mins away) . You can say it is a hidden gem. The...cafe serves local food, cooked in the local way, but you may find some of the many dishes served here that do cater to tourists' palate. The food was just wonderful - I saw caucasian tourists (most probably backpackers on a budget) eating here too. The cafe is family run. It has been in operation for almost 20 years now. If you travel this far into Batu Ferrenghi, I would suggest you try the food here. The place is clean. Tip: Opens 11.00am to 4.30pm every day, except Wednesday (closed the whole day). Tip2: Don't expect fine dining here. It is a local cafe serving delicious local fare at which you can eat on a budget. The decor of the cafe is simple. Tip3: Parking is a bit of a problem here. Try parking on the road shoulders some meters away from the cafe, but be careful not to park near bus stops!More
