Fantastic in every way. Great service, great dishes in a home style healthy style of cooking. Highly recommended! Please note that there's no meat in this restaurant.

Walked across the road from our hotel is where we had our sesfood dinner. Managed to get a table (social distancing reduced sitting capacity). We had Lalla with Garlic Chilli, Sotong, Prawns and Crabs. Fresh and nice seafood. Service is quite fast. Not a bad...place too.More
Excellent food with reasonable price. At first, we thought the place will be pricy as it is smack at the middle of tourist area (opposite Park Royal) but surprisingly, it’s very reasonable. Ordered teochew steamed fish, fried squid, garlic and chilly steamed lala and a...vege. The best is garlic and chilly steamed lala. Will definitely come again.More
At first we were wary as their menu does not list out the prices if their dishes. But we asked the staff beforehand and the prices were alright. We ate the homemade tofu and chili crab, they were really great! They may attract more people...if they had listed out the pricesMore
We passed this few times but were unsure of the restaurant then we decided to try it and we were very happy with the service/price and food was very nice too
It's a hawker kind of restaurant as it sits in the 'I love you,' hall that is next to the more popular long beach food hall in Batu Ferringhi We ate here three times during our stay and each time it was just got better...and better. Dishes we had included fish, in either the chilli type sauce or the soy sauce gravy. I think we had a snapper on one day but can't remember the other kind of fish. Whichever you choose, go for a fatter fish as it obvious has more flesh. We also had two types clams in either a garlic sauce or a soy sauce. The salted king prawns were also a regular on our meals along with the stir fried veg. The cook has what's seems to be a way of getting his fried dishes extra crispy whilst keeping the inside of the food moist. This was the case for the fish and prawn dishes. Delicious. The prawn dish in particular I've had many times elsewhere but in this case here, the prawn flesh is just great, succulent, crispy bodied and not over salted. The more full bodied fish also, crispy skin and nice flesh that was flaky. Sauce is not too overwhelming, good flavour balanced when mixed with rice. The clam in garlic I just loved. Plenty of garlic smashed in flavoursome clams. We also tried the house special Kwei Fel bencurd/tofu. The frying of the tofu technique/secret is the cooks specialty. It's in this delicious sauce with chopped squid and ham but what is special is while the outside has a slightly firm texture, when you break the layer, the bean curd inside breaks out and is soft and creamy, and still hot. It's just a great melt in the mouth kind of texture that I've not really had before with tofu that's been fried. Just superb. Waterworld has other non seafood dishes, but everything we tried was great. Not dirt cheap like some but very reasonably priced. Our 3 meals for 2 adults and 2 children (9,and 13) varied between 135RM and 187RM. The cook/chef clearly has a some secrets and skills in his trade, so very glad to have found this.More
We finally found this place, and despite it only having three TR reviews, all of which were complimentary, we gave it a go. Perhaps our expectations were too high as we were awfully disappointed. The service was quick and we were given an option of...how spicy we wanted our deep fried fish, but after that it all fell a part. The fish was served upside down, absolutely smothered in a pile of coconut/belacan, but it was tasteless. It was so small that it was mostly bones; the salt and chilli squid was also tasteless and, I'd say, over cooked; thankfully the lemon chicken had both sauce and taste - it really was quite nice - thank goodness. There are so many cheap and cheerful places to eat in Batu Ferringhi, be wise and go elsewhere.More
This small seafood stall is located in I Love You Cafe in Batu Feringghi. It serves mainly Chinese seafood including lobsters and crabs but also has many other vegetables and meat dishes. The seafood is exceptional especially the lobster if in stock cooked in a...variety of ways including in cheese! They also has a mean chili crab with the best sauce I have ever tasted yet. The steam fish is easily the best I have ever tasted. Price is also very reasonable and the place is within walking distance of most of the hotels in the area. Just go to I Love Uou Cafe which has many stalls and look for Water World.More
I have reviewed this previously but then noted last month that it has moved. It is now at I Love U Cafe at Lot 340, 11100 Batu Feringghi, which is a hawker centre a few doors away from Lone Pine Hotel.
Waterworld is actually off the main Batu Ferringhi road in Penang. Looking at the restaurant you would not think there is much as it looks pretty run-down and shabby. It is situated in the middle of a fishing village. The food is excellent and the...hostess is very helpful with selecting the dishes. She would give good advice as to what is good for the day and very honest. Their signature dish is grilled lobster in coconut and you should try the nestum prawns. The address above is wrong by the way. It is situated in 131-MK-2, Teluk Bahang, Batu Ferringhi, Penang. A word of advice is to go upstairs and sit by the balcony as the view is better. I think it is the best seafood resturant in the Batu Ferringhi area.More
