We visited Knife and Fork based on these reviews and we were not disappointed! The location is a little unusual, it is opposite the Golden Sands hotel on the second floor of a shopping complex- please do not be put off by the location.. We...were greeted by Liang who is just wonderful, the sweetest, most enthusiastic, hard working lady. We were travelling from the UK with our 2 young daughters who are yet to develop a love for Asian food.. Liang could not have been more helpful and made some plain fried ‘popcorn’ chicken and fries for them. Myself and husband had local cuisine which was just fabulous and all freshly made to order. Liang is not only front of house but also chef and waitress! We visited here twice during our trip and wish we had gone sooner in our trip to have visited more. A must visit when in Batu Ferringhi.. When you read the reviews you think what’s this all about? So we went and try for ourselves and have to agree with all the reviews. This place is a little gem in Battu Ferringhi. We struggled to find as it’s on the second floor...of a little shopping/food center. The restaurant run by a couple with their son helping out in cleaning. The food home cooked upon ordering. All fresh ingredients, very good quality meat and fish! We enjoyed the sizzling beef, vegetables and sweet and sour prawns with fried rice. The portions are generous and the service is super friendly. The lady keeps smiling! If in this neighbourhood it’s a must try! Simply a wonderful experience with delicious food!More

Food is generally good, designed more for western sweet/deep fat flavours compared to other Chinese food nearby. The owners were great hosts and the ambience of the place is great. Worth a visit but only order small portions unless you are really hungry and they...are quite big sizes.More

Visited yesterday (10/08/22) and had another lovely time there. The guys work so hard to ensure everything is fine for you. Our meals were just as we had expected them to be, as we have been a few times before, that is why we keep...coming back. It is worth giving it a try even if you are only in Batu Ferringhi for a short time.More

Liang and Loon are soo nice, they will go out of their way to please you...they work hard since they are just the 2 of them and cook FRESH......That is their secret !!!!!! All is made to order and what a difference versus all the...restaurants we have been to..... Do not hesitate to taste the Honey Caramelised pork and the chicken cashew Attn a small portion is enough for 2 . The price is more than reasonnable ...... Definitely THE BEST !!!!More

We couldn’t wait to return here after 2 years of lockdown and it was as good as ever. This really is the best restaurant in Batu Ferringhi for the delicious food and the amazing service from Liang and her husband, nothing is too much trouble...for them and they go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. If you are around you must try here as you won’t be disappointed and you will love Liang as she will make you very welcome. See you in November.More

Have visited this restaurant many times and over years and i have to say it’s the best food in Batu Ferrenghi. Have known Leanne and Loon for a lot of years and they always make everyone so welcome

Do not be put off by the fact you need to go up a couple of floors, the food is superb, plentiful and you will not believe how reasonable the price. Liang is one of the nicest people you will ever meet, she does front...of house and some cooking, Loon stays in the kitchen. It offers a wide menu, all cooked to order, including pork. In Malaysia you have to search for such restaurants, but Honey Caramelised pork, small portion for under £3 is amazing. Their definition of "small" differs from ours, after the prawn fritter starter, one portion with rice is more than enough for medium appetites. Always in the top 2 in Batu Ferringgi and well deserved. Get to Eden Parade, look up then go through the main entrance to get the lift.More
