Creative Veggie & Vegan

This little place works hard to imagine new ways to help us love our veggies! They incorporate various vegan "meats" and a huge array of flavors to keep those veggies company. We're less impressed with their salads, as more than once we've found wilted and brown lettuces that really deserve to be served green. They'll send you a new menu for each upcoming week if you sign up for texts. Prices are good, delivery is good, and sometimes there are even extras added at no additional cost. We've only gotten takeaway from them, so can't speak to in-person experience.

Best salads!

After having a difficult time to find a decent place with salads in Malaysia, we ran into this place. Our high expectations were exceeded. Salads were fresh and yummy. We will be definitely back once we are in Georgetown again.

Nice salad

Noticed this place because of its name. Me and a friend fancied something different to noodles and rice we ordered a salad to share and i still opted for a meal deal which was a rice and chicken dish and a lemon ice tea (9 RM lunch deal). No complaints about the food was rather nice and the setting was rather nice also very shabby chic.

Only catering now, no more individual customers accepted, disappointing

Going to that place is now very disappointing because they are always closed for catering when you decide to go. They used to have nice salads for example with duck in the past and a good thai curry with mashed potatoes but they seem not to welcome individual customers anymore It is amnaged by an Indian family

Felt unwelcomed

We were excited to try this place, as wanted proper salad and sandwich. When ordering Americano, we got espresso, but the owner insisted it is Americano. Then instead of Caesar salad they brought just regular green salad. Spicy mango salad would have been good if mango wasn’t green and hard as a rock. Grilled cheese sandwich turned out the worst one i have had, with the cheapest cheese that doesn’t even melt. After our lunch we ordered another tea, and wanted to chill just for a bit and look for some things online...until they switched off the wifi. No thank you, no smile or eye contact.

Thank you for the above comment. Yes I do remember the both of you that day. Firstly, yes u did get an Americano and its the glass is a standard Americano glassware by Luminarc,secondly,you actually ordered a Classic Garden Salad and if it's a Caesar that you ordered you should have came up to the counter and asked us to replace. We would have change your order immediately and I must be a really horrible person to have served you a mango which was hard as a rock. You should have also informed us that if you think it was that hard. Sorry to say I have never served spicy mango in anyway that you have just described. And I only use premium quality cheese and the both of you just probably wrote all this horrible review just cos the guest wifi went off after all guests' wifi usage is set to 1 hour and you'll be logged out after that. If u needed more time,again,all u had to do was request for another password frm the counter and we would have reset the connection for u. If you felt unwelcomed maybe its cos our kitchen and the front has been busy and come on seriously the mango that is such a lie cos I was the one who made the salad and I always make sure everything is fresh. Don't just point the mistake on us when you actually got mad cos ur wifi timed out. Im sorry to say but people like u are hipocrits n there u had a simple solution,all u had to do was just ask us. Simple! Again thank you for the review!!

Cosy, nice breakfast

Nice and friendly owners, decent breakfast and cosy atmosfere. We had sunny side up eggs on toast and a very tasty porridge with banana and apple. Good cappuccino. Good way to start the day!

Best Salad Ever

We have been here several times, always a must when visiting Penang, their salads are amazing. It's so fresh and crisp. The chicken salad, and pasta salad are def our favourites.

Very Disappointing

I was recommended to come here by a friend as she said the salads were great! I went to the cafe at around 1pm two days in a row to be told they had no salad leaves( hence the name salad bowl) and on the second day told everything was sold out! This cafe need to sort they're stock out or change the name of the cafe. Very disappointing

Quaint Little Place to Get Detoxed After Nasi Kandar Binges

The place smallish but the people were nice. I suspect it is mainly to serve the expat backpacker community. But it was nice to find this place amidst all the rich foods of Penang. During our debut visit, there was a little toddler (the operator's son perhaps) who took a liking for me for some reason. Maybe I looked like one of his uncles. Food wise the salmon salad that we had was superb. Topped with green tea. Just what we needed.

Tasty salads

Fresh tasty salad, i had the spicy apple and mango one, however as they had no mango they happily swapped it for grilled chiken which was delicious, rather inexpensive for maylasia. Staff could be friendlier but were by no means rude, cute cafe , might come back tomorrow !

Not bad, but definitely not good

We went there based on the reviews prior to ours, with high expectations. We picked the breakfast sandwiches and they were not good at all. The coffee was even worse. I would not go there again.

Delicious!

I simply love how things taste here. This has become one of my favourite places to eat in penang. Now and then i crave for salads and somebody took me here. I was surprised by how value for money this place can be. Especially with their sets, where u get like a proper sized meal with rice and a drink. Certain days they even run out of their salmon rolls or even garden salads! Absolutely worth a visit or even several. Love the price effectiveness.

Amazing salads for a cheap price

Didn't expect to have such a good salad in this place, I loved it here. The salads are very cheap and have many ingredients, i had one with grilled chicken, beetroot, feta, apple and cucumber for only 9RM.

Great salad, fresh and delicious

Went there today and ordered garden salad, pita bread, vegetarian rice and aglio olio. Surprisingly vegetable are fresh and the pasta cooked just right, al dente, not too oily. We also talked a lot with the owner and family. What a friendly host. Will comeback again for sure.
